I think some of the biggest players have decided to just manage the decline of their manufacturing or are in denial not sure of the two applies. I say this because they have left it to late and not sure how they can think and build out of the hole they find themselves in. The closest one to Tesla of EU auto is Audi and they are minimum of 5 years behind????

What puzzles me is that one of the easiest ways for big auto to protect its self against price rises is to have a fixed offtake from a producer that is for x number of years. Maybe deals have been done but it is awfully quiet no whispers or anything???

Atw was going to lay off it's workers. Tesla obviously had a good deal. When Tesla bought gruman it cancelled all contracts to big auto. So supply lines getting squeezed again.

Yes Elon said that Tesla is battery constrained. But Tesla will use different chemistries for different applications. Mr musk even invited Nickle producers live on TV to give Tesla a call(I would love to hear that conversation). Tesla has 3 different chemistries iron phosphate this is for mostly static applications. Nickle manganese moderate power and the high power low mass nickle battery these will be used for the Tesla semi truck and high end cars.

Musk said solid state is dead. It's taken Tesla 8yrs to get to this point. It's not just battery power it's also being able to produce at a certain price point. If you saw the presentation they are producing the 4680 now but need a lot of work to increase yield. So starting again with solid state is a no no. With the mining there must be some secret sauce to this as it sounds to simple???
