Agree Valuation-it-is and to take it one step further on point 2 the govt is clearly needing to protect themselves from Chinese dominance post their move for BCN (London Aim listed) yday....I think some maybe a lot of money from there will come into here.
The govt should be doing all it can to make this mine and Cornish Lithium a success for industry, domestic resources and jobs/economy.

John I do get what you are saying and costs, risks, discount etc but this price isn't even close to what I deem fair. Now you say happy with flip, all those risks I said many times on here had stomached and this was long term. So no i am once again not happy and once again see SECKER as a POOR negotiator. If this was on the table then why sell chunk of company at 45p?

Hi, inphobe, not advise but if you look at performance of znwd v bcn it’s massively outperformed. I did the reverse trade to you while back bought some znwd. That’s really performed v bcn and if I didn’t have so much in bcn I’d think it’s not a bad time to reverse it. However have to be prepared might be months before see the benefits.
I personally wouldn’t be a sole znwd holder without being a bcn holder is best way can put it.

No one is disagreeing on the future and prospects of bcn.
I am trying to point out there are risks, yes mainly technical. I still feel like Mexico and Chinese involvement is something people aren’t comfortable with YET.
To be absolutely clear if you put this as exactly same stage and funding and reserves and costs... For comparable I think lac with Tesla deserves at least a 1-2x multiple increase simple down to that than China/Mexico combination. Add in secker to that, I’m not moaning about any other ceo or company simply think he’s a bad deal negotiation and timer. Others would have done a better job, simple as.
The west is now targeting China more, the rhetoric last night from the Eu isn’t helpful.
For me the technicals on this can remain strained for next few months.
Iv stated several times large long term holder, and I bought it right down to 15s in covid.
But Iv made mistakes like everyone on this board by continuing adding here as think it’s “cheap” and in reality its performance has been poor. I’m simply challenging the sole bull case, as of right now do not believe the fundamentals are driving this.

It's easy to say it's undervalued and doubt find many that disagree but value has totally different meaning to many different people....BCN has officially become my worst performing share YTD.

And to put it into the EV / Lithium world It has underperformed ZNWD, SAV LN, EMH LN, LAC, GANFENG, TESLA, VW,....I mean the list goes on.

So its great pointing to all these positives and saying 'long term' but I still think maybe the issue remains Mexico.

Let me ask a diff way, lets say all goes ahead no issues gets to the bull case. Do you think the proper upside value in this share will ever be realized or is it a wait for dividend day? Im on the latter, I do not trust Secker to unlock SP value so will wait till dividends come in many years down the line. Always be some risk he does another rubbish deal on route.

Don’t totally disagree mr c, I do think the sp should be higher reflecting the capital position, funding and as the article says...bcn has done well to keep going through covid.
However currently I don’t think it’s massively undervalued. Pre this placing 80p-£1 seemed right valuation to me but I factored in either we found financing or not such a large dilution and heavy discount so now I think 70s is right.
You take out some of the uncertainty around Mexico etc and it’s 50-60s really. However I do believe that’s where we should be trading now.

Read the article, doesn’t really say a lot and is a bit wishy washy but the one thing that’s highlighted is the dilution and costs before gets to solid position.
I’ll stand by my position there, raise timing and price was poor from secker as it has been all along. Too many shares, too cheap and too much dilution. Same goes for his initial and supplementary rounds with gangfeng.

speculating here, but could we see Biden giving some renewed tax relief to renewable companies and tax breaks on those shares? Feel like the whole sector is getting some Biden policy bounce soon. As said pure speculation but just feels like that's the path coming that will push more money into renewable sector.

Coldjoe not sure it's fair to say 'scared' into selling, and this board has said enough times about existing licenses not being touched. Sentiment to that region remains low and in all honesty Secker and co done nothing to alleviate any of that imo.
I don't agree on some deal between Mexico and Gangfeng cutting us out, we are protected but also can't say have 100% faith in either those 2 players when it comes to deals...
However post SAV placing if I wasn't invested long term and prepared to ride it out, id argue their placing must see better performance than we have and dumppunter will be justified in short term.

John, I have no issues with the worldwide class project this. But as others such asr c and nomad say we are underperforming and must be a reason why. You stated that “day moves don’t matter” and that’s precisely where utter rubbish from likes of Mullins repeatedly posts prices laid “45p paid” then gets on their high horse of filtering someone and claims to be long term. Iv got no issues with positivity but moment a negative comment comes in it’s pounced on as you have in the past also.
I remain of the view we are struggling with amlo and concerns around Mexico and remain so.
Regardless of the mining permits being unaffected we will still be subject to regulation, tax and anything else that he tries to bring in.
Does it mean I’m selling? No but thankfully I didn’t blindly buy all I could and used isa money elsewhere which I’m proven to be better off for doing so.
We are also with a Chinese company that with Huarong isn’t having the best time of it atm. It feels like China is putting a bit of monetary policy squeeze on and credit creation is down.
This is precisely why we need a listing in the likes of Nasdaq but maybe we’re not allowed it due to the depth of Chinese involvement? Not sure of the rules there.
Whatever the situation I still think Secker has performed poorly, both with timing and decision making throughout. Let’s see what the next Rns brings and how he intends to steer the company to positivity for share holders.

Mister c thank you for being on here and posting! There is at least some sense of balance, I mean don’t get me wrong...the only reason we’re not flying is because we are missing a positive lithium article, a positive battery article....but above all we need someone to post us that someone paid a price at or above market....never when there’s a sell though (just a buy).
We just need someone to post “45p paid” and some endless mundane article and whoosh away we go.
We’re also missing the “long term” holders that post every single day. Without them this wouldn’t be where it is now. Their insight is nothing short of amazing, nothing can go wrong why not buy more?!
Or how about the share znwd we own 50% in, is outperforming us 40-50% ytd?!

Bampster personally I think it’ll be two things

1 - getting through mid terms in Mexico and getting a more favourable commentary to mining industry. I think that’s key to short term stock performance (assuming that matters to you, I’m in this for years).

2 - a listing on Nasdaq wouldn’t go amiss....

Other than that it’s just down to your investment horizon. I’m short term negative but long term bullish and v long for that reason. Not messing around trying to trade this and prepared to sit in it for years.
I was going to add more for isa but prefer other opportunities in short term elsewhere and got enough bcn.
So I wouldn’t read this “it’s a steal at this prices” that’s touted on here, plenty of much better opportunities in next 3 months IMO.
Long term though great if like me ignoring it for a number of years!
