What is good about pumping fossil fuels into the atmosphere?

What is commendable about clearing millions of square miles of natural forest with it’s resident wildlife.

Do you want a planet that looks like Dubai from horizon to horizon.

It some points humans will arrive at the conclusion that a) there are too many of us, and b) preservation and restoration will become the quest. It’ll be expensive and politically explosive.

We’ve screwed it up in just a hundred years or so. It took 4 billion-ish years to get to it’s best.

Perhaps another asteroid strike would come in handy.

Perhaps then, in 200,000,000 years or so, Earth might enjoy another natural rejuvenation.

Digging/pumping up billions of tons of carbon long locked up and pumping it into the atmosphere will have had no impact on the planets climate. Or turning oil into plastic and sprinkling that generously across the globe. The Ozone is all a hoax and the icecaps and glaciers are just shrinking at historic rates to **** of polar bears and the cotton industry.

Climate change denial is almost universally from big business that doesn’t want to expense of adapting - or losing the support of the wealthy fossil industry - or the backlash of voters reliant on continued carbon release.

Anyway, even my Neanderthal intelligence has got to grips with the bigger problem - the constant growth economics are not sustainable. The planet is finite. We are ****ing it up much faster than we’re prepared to acknowledge.

And ‘business’ will be the last to accept that.

Humans are just a very successful virus on a once wonderful spinning chunk of rock in an insignificant universe.
