It's not Newmont. They hold 10.31% so can only sell 10.5m shares and then that would trigger a TR1 rns.

That said, Newmonts holding is of importance in grande scheme of things and I suspect highly likely that our Chairman has already been in touch and asked that they give us first dibs should they decide to sell. At least that way, we can prevent the 10%+ going into chinese hands or BHP's etc. Canaaccord would need to place the stock of course.

No sign of any of the major holders selling.

No sign of any major funds or II's selling either.

So bit of a mystery. Only entity that might exit and wouldn't need to TR1 is Norges. They were at around 80m shares a month ago or about 2.5%. Standard Life (now ABRDN) still at 4% level. The list goes on... no real movements.

Tenstar did hold about 120m shares in 2020 but are down to around 107m shares now. So they sold 13m and as far as I know didn't issue a TR1 as international holders can skip the UK 5% threshold and notify when they drop through 3% instead.

Whoever it is, it's slow slow horse stuff as daily churn around 5m average for last few weeks. That's pretty poor considering we no longer have TSX trading and everyone trades on LSE.

Just machinations of the market but clearly benefitting Global X as they lap up close to 8m shares in last couple of months.

Defo a sell... no idea where this stock is coming from but it's getting matched with buyers in what looks pre-arranged prob by Cana and co.

It's a good sign that they are managing this stock and perhaps keeping it out of chinese hands more important.

I have no idea who's selling but it certainly isn't any known funds listed under morningstar.

No point Dan releasing news with a seller like this around... it will get wasted and drowned out by the management of the book.

Precisely... why would he be selling now? Impatient perhaps? Wants to move the cash elsewhere? Winding his fund down? Who knows and thus far no one seems to know who the seller is. All we know is global x are picking up the bulk of them... or have been.

Canaccord were appointed end of August. You're barking up the wrong tree with regard to the move from 6p to 17p. That was inspired and driven purely on TAM results market frenzy for miners post the initial metals pop through $3k POG.

There has been a decent size seller around for a few weeks now. How else do you think Global X can buy up 6m shares in open book trading over a period of 6 weeks?

Why not ask Irwin if he's sold any lately?

It's only recently (last 3 weeks) that we've had a large seller and Global X has stepped up to acquire the stock.

It's none of the big boys has there would be TR1's required.

So it's someone in the under 3% levels. How many did Irwin hold?

Derrikk or should I say Panda... PoG going great guns but it's also being driven by hedges around US gov shutdowns etc. When that passes, then you'll see a bit of sell off. But china buying has been big and bold lately combined this with Fed rate cut coming and it's looking good for PoG for a long time ahead.

SOLG doesn't seem to rise with PoG but just watch it fall with PoG lol! It always amazes me that one... correlated to the upside... not. But follows gold perfectly during the sell offs. Ironic.

Addicknt, they are just green lines to the majority on this BB. Both filtered long ago. I'm surprised you haven't caught up and done the same.

There are some days, I check in and there's more green lines than black. Says it all really. There are clearly some very lonely folk out there with some difficult mental issues and this bb might help them a bit. So just filter and leave them to it.

They appear to be working for you... and all shareholders. They might be controlling book for a reason. Such as facilitating a large seller with a large buyer. We know the latter as they update their fund details every day. But what we don't know is who the seller is?? It doesn't look like any funds listed on morningstar data as none have sold any sizable chunks lately. My only guess is that it's some flaky canadian fund or one of the CGP boys offloading a few. Could be Irwin? Does he update details on his fund regularly?? If so, should be easy to find out.

Other than that, the reality is, we have a seller and it looks liek Cana are working to offload that stock to interested parties. Global X being one of them.

There haven't been any TR1's so I don't think it's anyone of major size such as 3%+ holders.

Yes possibly but the stock likely going into safer hands and not traders hands. So when the next news breaks assuming it's good... there might not be as much stock about.

They are certainly not shy about what they are doing.

I thought the mm's might be a bit embarrased by doing a rinse and repeat eg... sp travelling up and then magically dropped back down to opening price on almost nothing volume. It's so obvious... it's almost laughable. Not even the slightest deviation over last few days. Let me guess... 4m traded and global x have bought 10m today lol! That is a joke.

Be careful with comms to Dan... he's clearly open to discussion and dialogue but that can end pretty sharpish if he feels he's having to answer too many enquiries that are or might be a bit 'needy' or unnecessary. He has a job to do. Let him get on with it.

Smickster, I think the royalty deadlines at end of next year and middle of 2027 are the main drivers or incentive to get the sp much much higher. Why? Because I think it's highly likely that we'll have a bid appoach ... and one that happens with decent amount of time ahead of royalty 50% buy back deadlines. Based on that, we only really have about 8months to 12 months left to get the sp moving and the assets proved up to the best level to attain that 'best' offer or deal. The savings made by a major buyer on the royalty is is huge when you factor in today's metal prices. Nothing to say a major won't make a move sooner as opportunistic etc but the fact it ... time is running out for all involved. Franco and Osisko are sitting pretty right now as even on a buy back 50% situation they are getting back what the planned based on the previous 100% investment if account for metals doubling in price.

Remember, the copper stream hasn't been done yet on the larger finance but is part of the original Franco $150m stream.

So phase 1 TAM sorted and assays coming in. Phase 2 underway and assays coming in soon. I think we'll get the Phase 1 concluded assays RNS this week and we know Dan is in Ecuador so might get more than that. Phas 2 assays due toward end of the month or early November but they could come in 2 weekly batches.

Global X have added over 7m shares to their holding in the last month. It's the last two trading days which saw them add the 3.4m shares. Previous weeks or days have had volumes nearer 10m + so that's fine and dots join up. But look at the volumes on Thursday and Friday and it's hard to believe they can acquire 3.4m shares without the price moving a jot. Weird stuff. Unless the mm's actively instigated the slide to test 14p lows earlier in the week... gobbled up aload of stock and then happily handed it over to Global X at 15p??

Anyway... the good news is the COPX index/fund appears to be stock piling SOLG shares again. They used to own around 50m shares but dumped about 20m shares during Scott's woeful period in control. If they intend to build back to 50m shares or more, then that's a nice 15m of shares to be bought in future and must surely have an effect on price.

What Dan needs is some II's and more funds buying in. He said he had been on the road marketing hard which is good to hear but thus far apart from Global X... none of the big boys seem to be buyers ... yet! Perhaps they'll get stuck in after or when CIPA drops?
