Great news on Sunstone... that's looking a sizable project now and our 12.5% has to be worth north of $25m+ to $30m+ range and that's being conservative. That would sort the regionals out!

The other Ecuador miner 'Solaris' continues to do well. Up over 5% today and punching closer to a £900m market cap. On comparable basis, we should be double what they are at the very least. So £1.8bln market cap please Mr market or 60p a share.

Remember, Cascabel top 10 Copper/Gold prospect in the world. The only one NOT in a super majors hands (or chinese state) I believe.

We were higher than 20.6p in 2020 after the covid end of the world market dip. Metal prices were half or a 3rd of what they are now.

Well, after failing miserably on Anglo, I think Henry's job is under threat. He'll get kicked out soon as BHP are underperforming and the current management team can't seem to bolster the resources through smart acquistions. BHP are losing ground to competitors.

I think they've decided to move the date back by a week to the 18th. Just a hunch but I think the move was caused by the Solaris/ENAMI licence block sales which ends on Dec 12th with bids being submitted before or on that date. Might be minor... but perhaps these things are like domino's... and some pieces have to fall before others. Who knows? But it's certainly going to be very interesting to see who bids for those blocks. Will BHP be involved? NMM?

What's odd or unclear is why the Ecuador Gov is putting these 12 licences out for bids? Solaris apparently put in for them in Feb of this year. Perhaps the land tax has made Solaris pull out of them? Further to this, why would Solaris bid for new blocks when they are apparently in same process as SOLG in seeking to spin out what they have already (their regiona folio).

Seems an odd one as can't recall similar situation although we know barrick secured several blocks last year with a planned $120m spend I believe.

Probably just Valuestone selling shares to jiangxi (china to china) and then next week, Jiangxi sell them back to Valuestone etc etc etc. Been going on for yonks. Apart from nominal fees involved... they can easily control the price. No way of knowing and no need to notify (TR1) as the blocks are always within the 5m to 10m range. Mm's have dropped it to fill an order or match large seller /buyer. Just look at those AT's. Almost 7million traded in first 2/3 hours. We had 6m+ yesterday on the entire day.

Everyone wants it up and running earlier! TAM certainly offers that. Interesting about the sub level. That's a new one. Leave the block cave to last...and self funded. On that basis, no need for Mr Market to use such a hefty discount if block cave risk removed. It's amazing how higher metal prices can offer up completely different strategies. Every chance SOLG (nad partners) could be producing from low risk hanging fruit resources for the first 5 years+. Exciting times.

The mm's don't like it when the market has a benchmark elsewhere and Solaris are going great guns again and through $10 cad a share.

Yep... the race to secure precious metals well underway. Anyone know of any nicely packaged up Tier1 top 10 mines around for sale?

Solaris moved up just fine without any RNS's. PFS RNS arrived and they moved up another 15%. Prior to that, they were steadily climbing on no news.

We need to add 8p+ here just to get on a level with them and as we know... they don't even feature in the top 30 global mine projects. We are top 10 and even top 8 if you strip out two projects that are going no where fast due to major issues.

We should be double Solaris market cap easily.

So even at 32p+, we are still well short of rest of market pricing on similar projects.

Yes, that's my point. So SOLG planned for a Dec 11th AGM weeks ago as per TSX filings. Now it appears that they won't be doing Dec 11th unless they report the notice later today but unlikely as we move to PM time.

So somethings changed? That coincides with around 3 to 4 conferences or presentations planned on SOLG website for last two months... and SOLG pulled out of all of them.

My guess is that our interested parties or a number of parties have seen enough TAM evidence now and have requested some discussions etc etc. Remember, Dan has already covered off any potential 'discussions' under the guise of exploring wider finance options etc etc. It's all in the RNS's. So there's scope to discuss financing (which may end up as a full offer etc) without having to disclose you're in such discussions if you follow.

I think the news that Ecuador are looking for bids on licences with closing date of Dec 12th has also past some investors by. That's very significant as I believe that's the first time in years that they have done that. But I could be wrong! We know Barrick took on some blocks last year but there was no bidding process then as far as I know.

I think the rumor based on previous tsx filings is that it will be held in Switzerland this year. Would make sense due to recent domcile change.

addicknt - who knows... SOLG might want to tweak 'something' that will require a special. Just have to wait and see but i get the feeling in my tea leaves that something is being cooked up as SOLG seem to have gone a bit quiet and the last time they went quiet, Bob and Co were trying to get the biz sold. Mmm.

Anyway... could get notice at close today so 11th still possible. Aside from that, I do wonder whether the recent Ecuador Gov mining tender has thrown a spanner in works for Dan and co. That ends on Dec 12th or bids must be in by then. Perhaps that's pushed his plans back by a week? Who knows? I'm just keen to see the planned resolutions as can be very revealing especially with the stage we are at right now.

Looks like the war on precious metals is just beginning. China, US and Europe now all looking to stockpile. Why don't they just go and buy some mines like the Chinese have? Beggars belief how slow they all are at realising what's coming!

Feels a bit odd lately... presentations/conferences being pulled... AGM notice which will include the resolutions held back to as late as possible. No sign of ExploreCo news as promised by Dan. No sign of Cipa.

It's likely all due but in true SOLG style it seems to be dragged out to the very end.

Agreed, that will be very revealing. I guess a few bidders might be drawn out here from the shadows and if some lose out in the bid process... then of course they can always talk to SOLG about investing in the regionals or... making a bid.

I'll be watching for any large chunky volume buys in the auction/after hours as mm's can't seem to print them during normal market hours... they prefer to try and hide them. Tells it's own story!

Solaris moving strongly today and now testing $10 (cad).

That stock hasn't seen much of a post PFS sell off and infact has put on another 10% to 15% since their maiden report which includes a whopping $3.7bln capex budget.

It would seem Ecuador mine explorers (not producers... yet) are in demand. Not many of them out there. Country entry level for majors hence very limited. The only way is M&A.
