Liberum new price target 270p today. Price driven down by shorters based on the way the algorithm bots attacked the book. Great trading stock with regular 10% to 20% swings. You wouldn't think it was a FTSE 250 constituent. Low float so shorts making some headroom (easy when buyers are absent) for when it bounces Absolute bargain price today.

How many do Azinam have available to sell in Sept?

I'm surprised the share price is down on this news as the Capex commitments and liabilities associated with JHL would have swallowed up that $19m cash pile pretty fast. The 7% interest in key Exxon asset is still worth a tidy sum and the Capex requirement much more manageable. I think the cash element was attractive but ECO did subsequently do a cash raise via equity at 30p to investors that clearly intend to hold tight for future drill plans.

Had the deal gone through with minor lock in period of 6 months, the share price heading into Tullow drills (assuming go ahead) would have seen heavy selling.

It's far easier out there now to raise cash (if you have assets like ECO) than it was back in March when they did the deal. I suspect they have better offers lined up with much less impact on shares in issue.

Would be a dangerous thing to do, forward selling is essentially shorting. Could be a big bounce if some JHL holders did that! Good show of strength by Eco. I like the fact they have protected shareholders interests and suspect JHL might return to the table in coming months. A lock-in of 12months would be the minimum to expect. It's good news and there's plenty of other ways to gain $19m in cash which would be less impactful. Market is very rich right now for interest in oil exploration in this part of the world. Tullow/Cairn could bung Eco $25m+ to Eco for a minor increased stake in some assets.

is this a cash play now? What's the plan going forward? Are they just running production as long as they can while its economical? If that's the plan, how much longer do they have left? Another year cash flows?

Oil market has been tight despite OPEC and US pumping more. The real squeeze is coming very soon as while the Oil market has been tight, China has been largely in lock downs. Now China are coming out of those lock downs and that means Oil market about to become tighter than a camels a hole in a sandstorm. Goldmans headlining $135 Brent for this year.

Lovely close against weaker market. 5% swing from 3pm. Shorts closing out for the weekend? Market knows inflation numbers been spiking so why the faux 'surprise' act today? Bouncing strong on Monday as '10%' inflation already baked in months ago.

I wasn't implying it would be a problem. The business is producing nice profits. I reference the recent presentation on the AAZ website, the comparison between past AAZ and future AAZ seems to point to a different approach which I have assumed will be bank finance to accelerate growth.

Does anyone know if UK based companies can invest in ECO through farm in deals and avoid tax windfalls on the cash spend or does it have to be in the UK??

I like ECO assets and dual listing helps too. My view is that Tullow should be able to deploy cash to ECO drills which would otherwise be taxed heavily.

Oil and gas sector might be about to see some very tax efficient cash coming into explorers.

One upside I expect here is BP relationship. It could become more tax efficient for BP to offload more assets to Serica. This would signal a transformational move across many UK focused Oil and Gas firms. Recent Tullow /Capricorn tie up and Premier Oil Harbour deal last year. Substantial shift in UK O&G sector coming.

Does the UK have a Strategic Oil & Gas Reserve like United States?? UK Government should be looking to work with BP and others to gain a large reserve which can be used for 'local' use only when in crisis. Instead of taxing companies, they simply deposit a share of supply into a national reserve fund. Need to think creatively if UK is going to be more dependent on UK O&G supplies.

Libero (TSX-V: LBC) is currently valued at $26m (Canadian). £16million GBP. Lots of great resource opportunities out there right now but Capex costs not cheap. Libero investors were hoping for a partner with deeper pockets. AAZ did right thing by asset deal outside of Russia region but doubts over how they move forwards with number of projects a concern. Cashflows not enough to fund all projects. A debt deal likely and they can finance costs but regional issues means lenders shy. Tough situation right now for promising metals production company.
