Hebredian9. I'm of the opinion that we dig out the salt and sell it to Local Council's in countries, throughout the northern hemisphere, for road gritting!

Specialist digging equipment is very expensive, so a JV would be required to get such a scheme off the ground.

That said, HARL is no longer a one trick pony, so we can work on this project, assuming the licence isn't revoked, at our leisure!

Just to add that Hydrogen has all sorts of logistical, storage, and safe operational use problems. Basically, the global "elite" are selling the world a pup, but are likely stashing lots of cash in their personal accounts whilst doing so!

As previously announced on 5 February 2024, the initial first-stage ion chromatography step achieved good separation of Nd/Pr at ca. 68% purity, with good separation of the samarium/europium/gadolinium ("SEG") group of rare earths at a grade of ca. 63% and considerable upgrading of the concentration of the dysprosium and terbium ("Dy/Tb") from a combined feed grade of 0.9% to 14.6%.

There might be a lot of "extra" money to be made from dysprosium and terbium.

Most clouds have silver linings, and ours is that Sir John had the foresight to expand his horizons beyond the moribund UK energy sector.

It is true that we have teething troubles with Scilly Ferries, but by March of next year things will look very, very, different. A thousand workers will working on the FSS contract, other contracts will have been won, and the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company might well be out of business!
