A Message to Investors16 Sep 2024 13:06
In days gone by I actually used to make money trading AIM shares - quite a lot of money.
I read the message boards of companies that I was interested in, but never, ever, commented.
This morning's kick in the Boll*x has finally brought it home to me, that commenting comes (in my case) with an emotional attachment that overrides objective, sound, investing. I've lost well over £100K in the last 2 years by not acting on my instincts, and I'm hoping that from here on end I won't allow my emotions to get the better of me.
It's a bit of a Catch 22 for those who want to make money, as reading informative posts has actually made me money. So, nobody posting will not only kill enthusiasm but might also deprive investors of knowledge (after separating the wheat from the chaff).
Anyways - what I'm trying to say is that I'm going to go back to observing from a distance.
Others might want to follow suit. Trust me, it's much easier to see the "pump n' dump" gangs in action, "sell on the news", and ruthlessly cut your losses!
Finally - A big thank you to the stokey's of the world!
FG has left the building.
