If you would like to ask our webinar guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund a question please submit them here.
Not impossible but will require patience imo.
i wonder how many mining majors are starting to take a fresh look at solg?
"anto***asta left its annual guidance unchanged as it reported weaker first-quarter copper output, "primarily due to lower grades and increased ore hardness at centinela". copper production fell 11% on-year to 129,400 tonnes. anto***asta said the lower grades at the centinela asset in chile was "in line with the mine plan". it also noted maintenance and cleaning activities work at los pelambres, also in chile, "delayed moving concentrate to the company's port facilities". gold output in the first-quarter was 21% lower, though molybdenum production was 8% higher. looking ahead, annual copper output of 670,000 to 710,000 tonnes is still expected."
Production figures up, good grades and mine improvements on schedule.
Very good news, all doubts and concerns eliminated about the mineral sands issue.
Hope not! I put in a cheeky fill or kill at 7% under closing buy price. Hoping for a small drop in the morning.
Great, fantastic, lovely.....now can you please explain to me what is driving the sp and where will it end?
I am inclined to believe more in fundamentals and the Lassonde Curve than optimism.
"Large buyers willing to pay over the odds?"
Maybe.....but more likely imo just rumours and small punters buying. Anyhoo, in a few mins we arrived at 0900 and maybe an RNS?
Market response a bit disappointing but the main UK indices are all down on risk of ME War.
Nice but until the permits are all in place we are an explorer and not a producer.
Oddly SENX up bigly today and their BB asking the same questions. Might just be small cap volatility? We shall see in the next few days what is driving the sp.
Maxdba not saying otherwise! I am breaking a personal rule by getting involved in a BB where I do not hold stake (yet) but I do believe at some point when the debt has been brought back under control that PFC will be worth buying again. Q3 of 2024?
From the FT Portfolio data for PFC:
"The 8 analysts offering 12 month price targets for Petrofac Ltd have a median target of 60.23, with a high estimate of 100.39 and a low estimate of 20.08. The median estimate represents a 127.30% increase from the last price of 26.50."
One predicted 20p and given the debt to capital ratio of 107% I am not surprised.
i would like them to find some copper! yes the titanium is a big deal but everyone needs copper.

"A week is a long time in politics."
Both UK politicians and oil & gas execs will be re thinking their positions ref the North Sea.
Oil on the up, I would expect the oil & gas sector to enjoy a decent week. ANGS not so much....
Gold for 2023, 0 ounces.....
Gold for 2024, 0 ounces.....
The future? Yes Gold, copper and other minerals will eventually be recovered and processed. But right now this is still just an interesting exploration company looking for a partner with money.
Ouch! Take a look at PFC this morning.
Over expansion, overdosed on cheap debt and....
Pleased to say POS in a much safer financial position.
Spreadex buying shares.
Mac Bank and friends now own even more shares.....
Am I missing something here? A large institutional holder has been slowly and quietly increasing its stake. Why? Is there good news on the horizon? Not necessarily good news next week but possibly this year?
