I hope nobody got burned with THG this morning after yesterdays tip from Investinvalue. Currently 12% down after issuing a profit warning.
I've got a feeling CCL will drop around 5-6% as well today once the NYSE opens this afternoon. Could be a good chance to top up before she flies towards £10. All just my own opinion.

Probably averaging down they first bought 28,853,979 shares in February 2018 at a cost of approx $67 a share! Ouch!

With THG up 35% in a week are good results tomorrow not priced in already.

The way this is going we could see £8 this afternoon after the open in NY. The sensible Fordy can't help thinking though that NY will drag it down over here though as we've had such a good run so far this year and it can't keep going up in a straight line. Definitely do think now we will see £12/£15 within a few months though. Just need some more good data and a few analyst upgrades and this could really fly in 2023. Just my honest opinion and yes I do understand the risks as well.

Whilst I think it's probably unlikely, the carnival SP could still hit zero. They sit on around £35bn of debt and will need to refinance some of this in the short term at higher interest rates to cover bonds due. Yes they have ships as assets but these are secured against the debt. If things turned sour bond holders would be repaid ling before any shareholders. Bigger companies have failed before. I'd love to see the SP at £20 as well but let's not be naive and think it's guaranteed. This company has got a long way to go before it's profitable or even out of the woods.

Bhants, the markets think we're gonna have a "soft" recession if any and that inflation has now peaked.

I think we'll see £8 very shortly and could possibly reach £15 in 2023. Massive potential for the brave at this price but my worry is that as the SP goes up Carnival will be asking for more money to refinance debt and we'll see 30% or more drops in the SP as result.

Might see lots of volatility Top. I think last CPI results saw a 40 point rise and then we closed the day down!

I think CPI data out of the US at at 1330 gmt will dictate this afternoons movements.

Says four of its five biggest booking days ever fall in the wave period of 2023. The wave season is a three-month period from January 1 to March 31 when cruise lines historically book the largest number of cabins.

Not complaining just wondering why? I bought in at £1.50 and have no intention on selling I'm in for the long haul post Ukraine war.

No worries Bhants always happy to post something positive. Let's be honest we haven't had anything positive during the last month! I honestly think we're starting to turn a corner though. Ships are sailing at full capacity again and future bookings are looking really strong. The economic data on both sides of the pond is now starting to suggest inflation has peaked, recession will be a soft one or might even be avoided and central banks might not raise rates to the extent first suggested. I don't mind admitting I'm feeling really positive for the year ahead.
Short term I'd say 700 for next week and then with more good data coming in the skies the limit!

I hold CCL and like most Im down at the moment. As for the future, I can only go off what i know. Im no analyst I just love cruising and I've sailed Carnival and MSC this year. Business is absolutely booming. Ships are full and future bookings are strong . Friends of mine love cruising too and they all agree with me and say the same. They're back to cruising after Covid and they are seeing the ships fully occupied. Regular cruisers like myself are also noticing there are lots of first time cruisers on board. Again, this can only be a positive.
Then there's the debt pile! It's huge there's no escaping from it. Can they service it?
In my opinion this is a risky stock to be in right now. It's not an investment it's a gamble, thats why the institutions aren't touching it right now. In 2023 it's either gonna rocket or go to zero. Only invest what you can afford to lose and good luck all. Fingers crossed this time next year CCL is back to reporting profits and the SP is £20+.

Up 4% one minute then down 3%. Doesn't bode me with confidence for 3pm. Hope I'm wrong.
