I get what they're saying. Cruise ship pollution and Amsterdam don't really mix. They are not only talking about banning cruise ships though. They want to ban prostitution and ban stag and hen parties visiting the city. Maybe they're just fed up of people visiting lol. Don't know the figures but I didn't have Amsterdam down as a big cruise destination anyway. If ships want to go there I think they'll just dock in the port of Rotterdam, it's only a short drive to Amsterdam.

After jumping in at 12.68 did you manage to get out Lloydy? I always buy in "just for the day" and it often catches me out. Terrible close but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the US closed above 18.40 and we see a good rise here in the morning.

Once the USA wakes up to the UK inflation data we could see a 6% rise today like we've seen many times here recently. The markets here are loving it and as we know it's all about sentiment with CCL. Short term I'd hope the next stop is £15 minimum. All that's holding us back at the moment is inflation/interest rate worries. We know the ships are full and bookings are at record levels. Once inflation drops further (and it is in track too) then this'll fly. All my own opinion of course.

Interesting to see now there's only Tellworth Investments left with a short position in Carnival and they've reduced their position to just 0.69%. Qube Research & Technologies Limited have been short for months but have been closing their position throughout July until now. They've dropped off the radar now after further closures on the 14th.

Topo simply said he thought £12.00 was a great entry point. He doesn't have to explain to you or anyone else why he thinks so. You seem to base your investing decisions on charts which has been proven time and time again to be as reliable as reading tea leaves. The last time you appeared on this board you told everyone after you consulted the tea leaves that the share price was gonna drop to £9.50 and then you disappeared as it went north to £13.50! Hurry up and disappear again you must have made a few quid by now.

Crypto isn't really my thing and to be honest I don't really understand it but a mate of mine told me I had to buy some XRP! Apparently they've been in a big court case against the SEC over in America to do with whether they should be regulated as a security. Anyway they won the case this afternoon and are up about 70%. The crypto followers reckon it's a big deal and they'll go to the moon now. Who knows 🤷‍♂️

Yeah we're in a decent slide here. Personally I think down to around £11:50 before it starts its next push back up towards £14/£15. On the plus side my Crypto has just took off! Every cloud and all that.

Never mind boys it's only money! We knew it wouldn't go up in a straight line. She's just taking a breather before she starts her next surge upto £15.

What's your thoughts on BT guys? Worth a punt at current levels. Do you think there's a good chance of a takeover by Deutsche Telekom?

I bought in this morning but haven't really followed the company. Just read the takeover rumours.

JP Morgan said yesterday the BoE could hike rates to 7% here in the UK as inflation just isn't falling as fast as predicted. I think if we hit 7% we will see huge numbers of repossessions in the housing market from a whole generation that hasn't known anything but low rates and have over borrowed. Higher rates also now being priced into the US markets as well. Not trying to scaremonger here but we all need to aware of what could be around the corner. Since Covid Carnival has aimed to attract younger families and if we have a hard landing or the sentiment changes you know how quickly things can go south.
