RE: Just for a bit of fun..26 Oct 2022 21:26
Hi all,
Some interesting posts today. Whilst my wife is watching a recorded bake off I thought I’d add an opinion. I think the cost per barrel would be at least in the region of $10-$15 per barrel in the ground. Based upon cost of delivering the oil due to not a lot of infrastructure needed compared to say Alaska where you would probably near $5 per barrel. Just my opinion on that due to a sale I know of by oilsearch a few years ago in Alaska. Most big companies look for around a 40% profit margin I believe. Based on an average of say $60 per barrel, $15 dollars per barrel to the owner of the lease and say $10 dollars per barrel to get it out of the ground and adding in some risk of recoverable % of oip. I don’t think those numbers are pie in the sky numbers. Let’s say we have 2-3 billion barrels of oil in place (pure guess) and we could hope for around 20-30% recoverable, let’s go with 600 million barrels recoverable = 6 billion. Let’s say for ease 400 million shares, what’s that £15 per share let’s say 50% for prd, £7.50p per share. Add in an uplifted Michael Caine for the gas it really is fairytale stuff. The most exciting thing about all of this is the fact we don’t have long to wait to find out. In or out is the question.
