The unanswerable question is will they? Especially given Shoei have access to their IP.

Use AI to aid your understanding by all means, but you should take time to convey your own understanding.

TW I hope you're right. Excluding the presence of Shoei, Nanoco are in a very strong position for collaboration with Apple and others.

Stop using AI and commentating on the forum, it spoils the discussion.

TW you can't answer the question of why Shoei wouldn't go in to sensing though.

I don't understand why so many deals have come to nothing and the only logical reason is Nanoco technology doesn't work very well.

Sorry I was talking about the Samsung settlement in response to the suggestion that they have access to Nanoco's sensing IP. I don't think they do.

IF Shoei are not interested in sensing, then Nanoco are in an excellent position and we can hope for JDAs in the near future. I don't believe that will happen though sadly.

I just checked the settlement RNS and it references the patents in the dispute and reports a shared agreement for the use of patents until their expiry.

This implies the agreement covers display patents and not an all-encompassing agreement for Nanoco's entire patent portfolio. To suggest otherwise is gormless speculation :D. However, Shoei now have shared usage of Nanoco's sensing patents, which leaves a very unclear path for Nanoco in my opinion, unless Shoei have no interest in the sensing market, which I highly doubt!

That's the point! We don't know what role Shoei will play in the sensing market. Nanoco could be worthless.

The growth in sensing all depends on the confidential terms. If Shoei retain full rights to the patents, Nanoco are finished. Make sense of an alternative explanation for the failed CDX. This is very sad.
