Depends on what the risk of CNE losing the arbitration decision on appeal is. A negotiated settlement now may well make sense taking this and everything else into account, eg cost and complication of further delay. CNE and its legal team seem to have got these judgement calls right so far imo.

Funds to come from the asset sales, and the big boys buying in perhaps on an IPO? Demonstrating ESG credentials by supporting large scale CCUS, might make a successful IPO if well handled and marketed, something different at least. Reality and payback years away, but initial investment objective would be growth. Pioneering project for O&G's and N Sea's declining years? News soon hopefully. JM has often referred to the value in the investees' defensible IP, which presumably includes these cell lines.
He's also spoken of huge reductions coming in the cost of growth media.

On the face of it, TOT shareholders lose the ISA wrapper on completion don't they? Because the ************** (TOT to Dole plc) takes place before the Dole plc IPO, and Dole plc is presumably ineligible to be held in an ISA before it lists.
Sell now and buy Dole plc when it lists perhaps, to preserve the ISA wrapper?

I for one tried hard with HL, as did others, but to no avail.
To be fair to ANIC at least they did a broker option for the little guy. They didn't have to do anything. An open offer etc would have been much more expensive.
HL said they don't do business with Peterhouse, incompatible terms of business so they told me.

Reminds me of the 1980s, wives guaranteeing husband's business liabilities and putting the family home up as security. Many were set aside when the banks enforced in the subsequent recession, for the reason that the wife hadn't had independent legal advice and therefore wasn't aware what she was really doing. Hardly a parallel with voting on the SOA, but it's perhaps the judge's thinking.

Perhaps time for AMGO to formulate a more generous SOA (maybe with FCA advance approval), get and pay for a generic independent legal advice/opinion prepared for voters to go with it (you'd have to click you've read it before being able to vote, like t&cs!), then have another go...

Shorting has a role and can stop certain markets running out of control. Wirecard is a recent example.
However I wouldn't want to be holding a short position in ANIC....

We should eliminate animal cruelty, and make farming and animal husbandry safe and humane, wherever it currently isn't.
We are all omnivores, and some of us make dietary choices to go vegan or vegetarian etc. It's immoral and unachievable imo to force particular diets on others.
Democracy and the rule of law is generally accepted as best. You can protest. You can sue and prosecute those breaching civil and criminal law.
ANIC's investees where successful should address many issues. Imo.

Agree Hogsnipe. It's the model 3 long range that uses neodymium. Tesla's arrival would also be a huge indirect boost generally to the wider EV/battery/RE industries here imo. Who wouldn't want to be next to the coolest neighbours in town...

I don't think we need worry about the investees being hived off into a separate company without proper value being given - that would fall foul of company and insolvency law, and basically be fraudulent. Also, JM has spoken in the various interviews of the exit route being share sales and special divis, or in specie distribution to shareholders of shares in investees.

Augurs well. NY suits working on BlueNalu SPAC merger already perhaps? Oatly ca $420m revenue but loss-making (ca $60m) (2020 figs). Quite how that gives a $12bn+ valuation is a mystery to me, but I'm not complaining.
