Robert Friedland raised the point about tailing dam failures. Its not something l have ever considered but according to this l probably should. The Kalahari is looking better everyday.
Placings give the more knowledgeable investors a chance to pick up cheap shares and warrants. And nice income for their city mates. Occasionally even extend the life of the typical dead beat company found on AIM. Older investors might argue that it enabled companies to grow but sadly most of those investors have now passed away.

I note on the JLP bb that there is talk of the Chambishi refinery reopening. So they will concentrate at Luansobe and then refine at Chambishi ?. Colin in based in the UAE ?, and we know he had discussions with the new owners. All hotting up for 2024. Just need those licences now.
I am not sure if any news at the moment is market sensitive, at most you get a pop for a day or 2. - at least in the shares I own. But Colin has been tweeting or X'ing about Zambia so he is still around.

Copper looks a far better bet than lithium at the moment ?.
It makes the Kalahari licenses more valuable. Botswana has a functional, stable government and the rule of law. Latin America is Latin America, Zambia has improved but still carries risk and Zim is as stable as an electric current to your genitals - as a Kenyan described it to me.
The FQ problems are interesting. If they can't restart within a few months then not only copper supply impacted but future investment decisions. Even their exploration work at the AFP license ?.
The paradox is Greta is supporting the shut down protest. Renewable energy ?

Another great result for Ivanhoe. We know from the AFP results that we have similar geology.
Reading the problems others have had with their brokers, l will give a shout out to Halifax. All seamlessly executed. I moved to them after being with 2 hopeless brokers and have always found them very helpful and good with the administration tasks.
For anyone looking to take a deep dive on what's going on in Zambia with Colin's babies, 3 podcasts have been posted on the JLP bulletin board which are of interest. I wonder if they could use the technology in Zim as well for gold processing. Over the years JLP has been the typical frustrating Birdy company, forever over promising. But in the next year or 2, hopefully the GLR/JLP combination will provide rich rewards.
