As R3 is being discussed, a couple of questions to the more knowledgeable, I’m always keen to learn!

From the recent update :

The problems encountered by the previous operator in 2005 were that a hydrate plug had formed in the well and wireline debris had also been left in the well. Serica has successfully remedied both issues, recovering the wireline 'fish' and dissociating the hydrate plug by heating



· The ongoing operations are to remove the 2005 downhole completion before recompleting the well.

So the hydrate plug & wireline debris had already been removed, ongoing ops are/were to remove the 2005 downhole completion. What is the downhole completion, what does it comprise of etc etc? More info the better, thanks!

A question to Almsivi, you recently tweeted regards the application for permission to increase production from the Bruce facility - possibly regards R3, any experience in how long this takes for approval & is this a possible time issue before R3 comes online?

I don’t think Malcy is right on anything, regurgitates the daily RNS’s with a sentence or two added on, when I saw BPC were using Gneiss as an intermediary the triangle became complete! No other reason SCIR & BPC are in any bucket list unless you’re on the books in some way, BPC at least have producing assets...

Just looking back at last years timeline as feeling an update or news to get things moving is needed & interesting we’re possibly following a very similar path:

24th Feb : Corporate Presentation...
3rd March: Well spudded 2nd March

Am I wrong in saying that regards the acreage relented by 88e to the west of Pantheons original acreage, with the Kuparuk improving to the west & up dip from Taliha ?

Great news so far for Pantheon & the Talitha well, I hope flow tests are successful, but the following part most interesting relating to the Kuparuk

Talitha #A penetrated over 100 ft of Kuparuk approximately 400 ft updip from the PS#1 well at a depth of 10,050 ft. The top 55 ft of this interval calculates as good reservoir quality, meeting pre-drill estimates of thickening Kuparuk and improving reservoir quality. This result expands the potential for the Kuparuk across the Company's acreage both in the Talitha Unit and updip to the west on acreage acquired at the January 2021 area wide lease sale.

Thickening & updip to the west on acreage that was given up by 88e, so we give it up as not prospective enough, but Pantheon are saying the Kuparuk is thickening & improving reservoir quality as it heads further up dip!

Appreciated post Brom, comments in by 1st March, but as you say, but... ... personally think it will be inevitable, as gas being seen as a cleaner energy in the transition from fossil fuels, but as to when with Biden in & his approach as we’ve already found out.

Just reading the RNS out from COPL this morning, it may relate, it may not, might be worth a read.

New US Federal Oil and Gas Lease Policy as It Pertains to the Atomic Acquisition

The Company believes that the Executive Order signed by the President of the United States will have a largely positive effect on COPL's Atomic acquisition. The statement by the President of the United States on signing the Executive Order stated the following:

· No new US Federal Oil and Gas Leases will be issued offshore, or onshore through the Bureau of Land Management an arm of the US Department of the Interior.
· There will be a review of existing leases and permitting for oil and gas operations conducted on Federal lands.
· There will be no ban on Hydraulic Fracking ("Fracking").
· Legacy suspended wells on Federal Leasehold are to be abandoned to reduce methane emissions.
· Operations on Federal lands shall be conducted with regards to the nation's climate objectives.

Obviously more to read than this in their RNS but good to get a take on it from another prospective.

Don’t think this has been posted, this part caught my eye :

Senator Dan Sullivan, a Republican from Alaska, said permitting changes threaten operations in his state during the current winter season, when companies such as ConocoPhillips rely on ice roads and ice pads to support drilling and other activity in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska.

“If you put a 60-day moratorium on drilling in the NPR-A, guess what? You lose the whole season,” Sullivan said Friday on the Senate floor.
