I have a feeling they may decide to restrict ISA's to UK listed stocks only, which probably explains the scrapping of the pointless British ISA. If they do decide to restrict tax free wrappers to UK listed stocks only, they'll probably allow current foreign exchange listed investments to remain within the ISA until sold, but once sold any new ISA investments would have to be in UK listed stocks only. I'm only guessing they may do this, but it makes sense to do it and there's no valid argument against it.

I don't see it that way, for me it's about annual income as opposed to a large pot of cash. Capital gains are also an issue outside of ISA's, so losses on one stock can offset profits in another, for example in my wife's standard share dealing account we're currently sitting on a significant paper loss on our Vodafone holdings, but seeing a significant paper gain on our Lloyds holding, at some point we may decide to sell both at the same time to fall within and take advantage of the capital gains threshold; Once released we'd have the choice to move a portion into the ISA's, or do whatever with the cash, in the meantime we're collecting dividend income on both.

Are you suggesting Israel want a two state solution, which would probably mean evicting all the illegal settlers from the West Bank? I just think Israel killing 20 Arabs for each Israeli casualty is stupid and will eventually backfire. Hardup, nobody condones the atrocity that Hamas committed last year, does that give Israel the right to kill and maim thousands of children in Gaza? Add to that the systematic eviction (ethnic cleansing) of Palestinians from their land in the West Bank? The amount of hypocrisy on display by western governments is also obvious, they sanction "illegal" settlers in the West Bank, when it's clearly Israeli government policy to take as much land as possible from the indigenous West Bank Palestinian population. I'm classified as Church of England and my wife as Catholic, so we have no religious bias toward either side, but I don't like bullies and thieves, and my impression is that Israel is both.

I consider Israel's policies to be stupid, because the seeds of hatred they sow now will come back to haunt them later, whether that be in years or decades. How long will it be before terrorists either build or procure nuclear bombs? Like everything it's only a matter of time.

I used to work for Vodafone Daniel, so I probably know a little bit more about them than you do. I do see the debt as an issue and there's a lot of Bond debt either maturing or reaching next call date over the next 7 years. I did some charts to help me understand the type's and amounts of debt.

Nice to know Erik. I believe the Telereal Trillium leaseback agreement is in force until around 2031, and although they can remove equipment, empty buildings and exit a percentage of the leases, the majority won't be released until post 2030.

As far as the Class Action, I assume you're talking about "Mr Justin Gutmann v Vodafone Limited and Vodafone Group PLC"? Justin Gutmann has also opened separate Class Action's against EE, Three and O2. All four Collective Proceedings Order hearings are scheduled for the 31st March 2025. It'll probably at least a year, or two, after the CPO hearing before the main trial is heard.

Savage I don't care what the BOE forecasts are saying. The Unions will push for big pay rises over the coming years, any above inflation pay rises will feed through to CPIH. I've learned to disbelieve anything politicians, institutions and others predict when it comes to policy and inflation; Remember how inflation was only going to be transitory? Then all of a sudden it wasn't and interest rates went ballistic.

Savage, Corona Virus starts with one person being infected and then spreads through contagion, I would suggest giving above inflation pay rises to Train drivers will encourage Unions to push for inflation busting pay rises across the board. Junior Doctors getting a big pay rise will feed through to Radiologists, Anesthetists, Nurses, Hospital managers administrators and others demanding big pay rises. Any business that has Union recognition and collective bargaining will look heavenward as Labour shake the public sector money tree. Labour have a long history of kowtowing to their Union masters, the current Government seem to be towing the same line. It's funny how Labour claim to represent the working man, yet it was a Labour chancellors policy change that killed off private sector Defined Benefit pension schemes.
