I suppose it depends on how far you want to go back. It's down less than 50% from it's 2015 peak, but you can't say it's down 90% from it's post 2009 price, as the various rights issues increased the number of shares.

The only Index showing gains is the VIX lol, the rest are getting hammered.

Bob could have a point, a similar situation has been happening with Vodafone, who are buying back stock to satisfy MCB's. It does feel as though certain stocks are held artificially low, while buybacks are in progress. Many will say a stock like Lloyds can't be manipulated, but with Off Book trading and Algo's having access to lighning fast trading data, allowing them to front run retail trades, nothing would surprise me.

Only you can answer your questions, since we all invest based on our own opinions. Much will depend on your view of the UK mortgage market. Mortgages will get more expensive, but rents will go up aswell. Lloyds have indicated that loans are well covered, and I believe the UK housing market is a resilient safe bet. Even post 2008 the housing market, in general, only dipped briefly.
Personally, I believe Lloyds to be a strong domestically focused bank with good prospects, but you should DYOR and decide for yourself.

I don't feel puished, I'll just top up as cash becomes available. The current low prices are a gift imo.

1p move in the price is a £3,789.71 paper loss,or gain, for me.

It's looking like my Dividend re-investment will be going to Lloyds, rather than somewhere else.

Anyone else think the Lloyds share price is fixed irrespective of the BOE decision? If the BOE had raised to 1.25%, then the market would have said that Lloyds will suffer due to rate rises leading to a recession, and if they didn't move they'd say inflation and wage/price spirals are on the cards. A middle of the road rate rise of 0.25% and the economists will say the BOE is behind the curve. No matter what they do promotes a negative market narrative.

The UK economy is a strange beast, that has caught out Economists for years. You read the doom and gloom stories, in the financial press, and the forecast slumps never seem to happen. I'd suggest the UK economy has a certain level of structural flexibility, enabling rapid self healing in downturns. The UK workforce/population seem conditioned to just get on with things, unlike the French who riot at the drop of a hat, if things aren't going their way. As someone who lived through the 70's/80's, and looking at the way things are today, I don't worry about the UK economy.

Correction, they were FY20 figures, FY21 figures are lower:
Gross Debt €(52,519) million. (€52.519 Billion)
Net Debt €(40,543) million. (€40.543 Billion)

I don't see any chance of Vodafone breaking up, I just don't understand Moleman's €85 Billion figure. Moleman, if you're correct you should list the various components, with figures, adding up to make your total.
