Actually I'm quite interested in watching QBT now, even though I originally posted here in relation to Crypto. As far as QBT's concerned, I'm not sure how you can separate QBT's future from the price of Bitcoin, since all QBT's patents/announcements are tied to mining Bitcoin. I know other things are briefly mentioned in relation to the company, but QBT'S bones are in Bitcoin mining.

I said yesterdays rise was likely due to Bitcoin going through $17,000 and looking at the price action for other Crypto related stocks I was correct; As the article states, even Galaxy Digital and MicroStrategy saw rises on the back of Bitcoin going through $17,000. You don't have to be a genius to see the obvious. As far as QBT itself is concerned, a 0.15 rise is 10%, so relatively small trades can swing the price higher or lower,

Like I said, QBT is heavily tied to the price of Bitcoin, nothing to do with the company announcements. If Bitcoin goes down, QBT wont be far behind.

Probably the incessant ramping by a few posters on here.
If I was singing QBT's praise in every post, you'd be inundating my posts with recommends and encouraging me to post more. You should debate my arguments against crypto, not try and shut me down, assuming you've got valid arguments disproving my view.

Too risky for me. R&D is cash intensive and rarely pays off; Look at all the investment pharmaceutical companies plow into R&D, probably one drug in 10 eventually making it to market. Most R&D investments never make money and turn out to be cash burners at the end of the day. Any investment into pure R&D is a gamble I'm not willing to take.

How people can be taken in over and over, by the false narratives printed and aired in the vested interest media, is beyond me.
First Bitcoin was a hedge against inflation, then it's a store of value; The fans say Bitcoin is commodity, yet describe other crypto's as securities.
I've heard people describing the FTX collapse as a good thing, as its flushed out another bad actor, yet it isn't that long ago they were describing "SBF" as the savior of crypto.
I'd describe my interest in Crypto, as a study of herd investing in pseudo stocks, and vested interests pumping their investment in an attempt to spread the illusion that something's real, when it clearly isn't.
For anyone interested in studying the nature of investing, the crypto bubble is fascinating. We sit there watching the Crypto magicians create something out of thin air, describing it as treasure, with half the audience seeing treasure and the other half seeing nothing. The magicians wave their hands, mesmerising the susceptible, into a hippy trippy state, as they lead them to a "fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge."

The insight is that a Crypto "hard fork" will initially make your eyes water, and end in tears.

Yes many investors in BTC consider themselves to have forked up. Many who invested at the peak were really hard forked, some were only forked in a small way, but forked non the less. People trusting FTX were bent over and severely hard forked and are no doubt sore from the experience.
The lesson is don't invest in anything Crypto, especially BTC, unless you're up for a "hard fork" you'll never forget.

Michael Saylor is an evangelist in the Church of Bitcoin; Anything he preaches, from his Bitcoin bible, should be seen in a vested interest light.

Because the likes of Michael Saylor and Mark Cuban bought into the religion, once the hype pump is exhausted the air will leak out of the bubble, and judging by the 18 month decline, at a rapid pace. I believe the trading liquidity in Crypto has fallen off a cliff and if that continues it will put a strain on the Exchanges, like Binance, since their income is based on fee's from trading. The miners are finding it harder to make money, due to the high energy costs and falling Crypto prices.
Wash trading is illegal, but Mark Cuban has just stated that the Crypto World is rife with it and it will likely cause a Bitcoin implosion, and he's a Bitcoin Bull.

His thesis is that the lower the price the more he can buy, but mammoth price drops will destroy the business case of miners, exchanges and associated projects/investments, and likely destroy any remaining investor confidence.

Haha, I don't hold any Crypto currency, or related stocks including QBT, and I have no intention of investing in anything Crypto related in the near or distant future. As far as researching Crypto, and particularly Bitcoin, as I said it's all about my curiosity around the greater fool theory. I am heavily invested in Vodafone, BT and Lloyds, and I like to think I present a balanced view there when posting. For now I'm more fascinated in Crypto than my investments, hence my posts.

If Bitcoin shines, it goes to show you can polish a tu rd to make it shine, but it's still just a tu rd; I wouldn't invest in Gold either, as I only invest in dividend paying stocks. As far as property's concerned its all relative, the ones that suffer are the over leveraged with high mortgages, but the asset itself is bricks and mortar having real value with a real world use; What's the use of Crypto currencies, when all you can do is store them?
