It’s enough to drive yourself to drink, what with trying to make a return in the short term. As you alluded to previously the FTSE is a trading market, at the mercy of large money and hedge funds.

I often watch you tube various economic forecasters, large money players, it’s always a differing view. Some are saying the US will implode, others that the issue will just be kicked down the road.

And I always return to Buffett, when the market offers opportunities in the short term take them. I’m off for a large G and T good luck.

Yes, I would agree the market is probably hedging regarding a Trump win. If you feel that the share price has been decimated then buy some more. I’m a believer that cheaper money is coming down the pipe and the share price will recover. I’ve not changed that view since I bought in here. Unfortunately, I will probably have to average down and I’ll make that decision after the next report, be it half year or year end.

I don’t think the market is looking at a Trump win. As you have stated whatever he is saying will have to get voted through, that in itself will be problematic.

I think the bigger picture is the market doesn’t like the growth forecasts globally, we have been tracking down here in the U.K. since Labour came in that’s a fact. Debt levels are high, gold has been on a charge for some months.

It’s all very easy in a bear market to point to one specific, the bears normally quote a negative current situation and try to make it fit the scenario, it’s fairly typical in down periods.

Nothing has changed as of yet regarding Prudential and it’s guidance according to the company and the CEO,we are buying more shares at depressed levels, the Chinese have as we

know reacted with stimulus. It’s laughable that the Western economies with their excessive debt have the bear face audacity to criticise the Chinese, but that’s the game.

I’m a believer going forward, and as we know we need cheaper money, so I’m not at all bothered. It’s called investing !

If there is a 5% fall on the FTSE after the budget, there won’t be any rush to get into shares like Lgen, as the likelihood would be that the share would track down further over a period of time,stating that the market has no confidence in the government.

The gold trade looked attractive some months ago, alas I wasn’t tempted to buy the spot price, over confident in the U.K. market going forward which was now the wrong decision.

Yes, no need to work for 35 years just buy £123k of Lgen shares. Or, the masses could as well as not working for 35 years get a grant to buy the £123k of shares. That’s a good socialist policy.

You are of course correct in the short term. A positive view going forward is that inflation is tamed, and Bailey will do as he has said and be aggressive with interest rates.

The FED are expected to cut a number of times next year, Reeves even though a leftie, maybe a iron chancellor, we shall see. So, going forward we can pitch a more positive outcome.

Failing no growth,the 9% return here seems acceptable. The S and P 500 is supposedly only going to grow 3% a year according to Goldman, so what is one to do, with their money.

I would say spend it . Something to think about.

Hello Drayton, the 3 shares you mention are established businesses, and down in share price, who cares, buy more it’s an opportunity. They will trade for many years. Most of the ftse is being shorted at present.

So if you want to get back to your posting history and the small oil companies you were ramping that went skint, then we can talk about it.

Have you learnt that perhaps having all.you eggs in the Falkland dream across multiple companies was perhaps the wrong strategy.?

I think I have done my research pretty well. The shareprice is 13p probably the cash value in the business.

So, with that in mind and all the Johnny know it alls on this blog, you being it appears the most desperate of all, can you phone the LSE up in the morning and tell them that they have got it wrong, and the share price should be vastly higher. Please don’t get annoyed when the

chap puts the phone down on you.

If you have any other investment tips please don’t share them, because your posting history seems to cover oil and gas shares in The Falklands, and they all appear to have gone skint or lost a vast amount of money.

So,please excuse me if I don’t tick up your posts, because to be fair you might be good at cutting and pasting but as to making money, there is a saying and it’s leave it to the professionals.

Now please go and get Alan his tea, and don’t get involved in stocks and shares, stick to being the house husband, and doing the washing and ironing.

hello paul drayton, i don’t understand your constant ferocity, so i’ve decide to google your name. it’s says that your married to alan carr the *** celebrity, and that you have had a history of alcohol abuse, ending in the arrest by the police for crashing alan’s car whilst drunk.

i understand that you and alan carr may have money tied up in rockhopper and that you are concerned with your investment, but drinking and crashing alans car is not the way to handle your issues.

we have been discussing the point of law, and laws can be tested, but i don’t think that will help you with your drink problem. so, i would kindly ask that you stop insulting me, and tell alan that i find his humour not for me.

Hello Nigel, you of course make the very valid point that ‘Laws can be tested’. I dare say if you were contemplating investing from scratch into oil exploration now, with new money, a savvy investor would be very grateful for the points you make.

Investors who understand the risks are probably not upset with your view, more deep down disappointed with this whole scenario, and any opposing negative view lights a short fuse,

Nigel, I tend to agree with your points. There is undoubtedly a large risk. The British and especially now under Starmer are globalists, like Blair and stick their nose in where it’s not wanted. Make no mistake they ‘the elites’ will have a view on the Falkland Islands . Starmer being a solicitor will want to push the rule of law.

We of course do not want investors to lose money, but the Supreme Court is a risk, anyone playing the FI are self governing card, may be deeply disappointed.

It appears increasingly harder to make returns now that ‘free gear Kier’ is running the show !

Musk appears to be widening his business interests, modular homes, RV’s phones, bikes. He has a very good relationship with China, some would say unique and unusual.

I don’t see the fallout with China, they are strategically needed. I’m more concerned with the ever increasing global debt and Reeves statement next week, as I dare say we all are.

Well seeing as Elon Musk is now Trumps right hand man, Trump is hardly going to devastate his business interest in China is he. I’d say the status quo will be maintained.

The great elites might have to live with higher inflation targets. Inflation is generally higher under Labour governments. One thing is clear we need confidence, and talk of even higher interest rates maybe into next year, would clearly be disastrous for the treasury.

Well Bailey has mentioned being more aggressive. 25 is hardly aggressive, it’s like going into a pub and ordering a latte and a vegan sausage roll, big deal, who cares, hardly aggressive is it.

Financial markets are closely linked on base rates. I would therefore assume with a good probability that the BoE will copy the FED and drop 50. Bailey is behind the curve, the housing market desperately needs stimulation, it appears obvious.

A lot of work for the company to do as we know especially in North America. They RTO seem to have been acquisition mad after reading the RNS. It all looks to me too much going on, will they get to grips with it all I don’t think so, they need a new direction from the top, rather than laying the blame on the regional directors.
