At the beginning of the third quarter, the BMW Group signed a long-term contract with the Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) to supply battery cells with a value of four billion euros. The award of this contract was a decisive factor in CATL’s decision to build the world’s most advanced battery cell manufacturing facility in Germany. From 2021 onwards, cells for the BMW iNEXT – which will be manufactured at the BMW Group plant in Dingolfing – will be supplied by the new CATL plant in Erfurt. The BMW Group has thereby anchored the entire e-mobility value chain in Germany – from battery cell production through to the finished vehicle.

One of the prerequisites for expanding e-mobility volumes on this pioneering scale is the ability to efficiently manage the highly sought-after raw materials needed to manufacture the battery cells. In order to ensure security of supply, the BMW Group will in future purchase specific raw materials such as cobalt itself, and then make them available to battery cell suppliers – a strategy that has already proven its worth for aluminium and other resources. In addition, negotiations are being held with suppliers with the aim of concluding long-term agreements for battery raw materials that meet the BMW Group’s sustainability criteria."

ohhh , god , I do not not listen to those , in one ear out the other , my research , is what I believe in , to date not failed me . largest Li mine in Europe , next to plenty of buyers , becoming part of EU battery alliance , DFS to have Minimum 50,000 tonnes of LI per annum , Price of lithium well above our PFS , not enough Li in the world , all electric vehicle populations requires 3 million tonnes of LI , not including phone , bikes , trucks , buses , submarines etc . Lol Will have an extravagant laugh at all the sellers in last months , and a thank you at same time , bloody best time to accumulate and have done so , very well . If I had the cash , would do a hostile take over for a couple hundred Mil .

Raw Materials –a High Level Conference on Raw Materials in Brussels on 14th November will present recommendations based on a dialogue launched by the Commission with the Member States on battery-related raw materials in view of developing attractive framework conditions for exploration, extraction and recycling of battery raw materials in Europe. The Commission is calling industry to also build raw materials refining capacity in the EU.

absolutely Noise . $18 K is average I think . so take $5,200 ( from PFS ) or even say $5,500 total cost , we will make $315 million a year or $2 a share aud . rest assured the DFS will have 50,000 tonnes minimum and then double it .

bloody obvious noise , pull out the pfs and rebuild your own numbers , market has completely missed it . yes have assumed some numbers Ie capex world does have inflation , and steel has gone up dramatically in last six months but my hydroxide price is still very conservative , .C;mon does any one believe we will be at $12,000 a tonne , currrent contract rate is $18,000 a tonne . Even if you average a price over 21 years , it is going to be well above the $10,000 a tonne we used in original PFS

We are 2.38 % up today closing 43 cents , 7 sellers seemed to have built a barrier selling 180,000 shares between 43 and 46 cents then there is only miserly numbers belonging to 5 holders to 50 cents
