Some very powerful media outlets there !
One thing I really hate about the modern narrative, is that if you question anything, that your right wing or a fascist, I’m not right wing in any way, classic libertarian (each to their own) I’m a scientist and engineer at heart.
P.s sorry for the board hijack :-)
Lucky,
Your right, I also know that, I think statistically there are half as many tropical storms which hit the us as there was in the 1920’s the only problem is that if you look at a picture of Miami in the 1920’s there feck all there!!! Now there is thousands of homes and hi rise buildings and millions more people living on the coast where these storms hit. But the media sell it as it’s climate change and more bigger storms, that’s not the case, also the death toll is sooo much lower in comparison, the biggest issue is property cost, because there built in storm paths.
Everyone thinks the storms are bigger and more frequent, such a miss told narrative.
Cj62 - the media stir everything into a frenzy; covid, Russia, storms, politics, climate change!. There is nowhere in the ippc reports where they say there is a climate catastrophe on the way but the media tells a different story, they pick the worst case scenarios and exaggerate them.
Controlled and payed for by big business, nothing is impartial anymore - not news, not politics and don’t get me started on social media and the **** that spews from that, soooooo much miss information.
Sadly I feel it will end western democracy in the near future or not so near who knows, sadly I fear within my little boys lifetime.
For a bumbling bafoon, brexit got done and uk had biggest gdp growth even out stripping china for the first time in a long time. Considering no countries got covid 100% or anywhere close I think he’s not such a bafoon, but hey I don’t watch news media or social media and their constant far left bull. Not on the right in any way just a liberal capatilist who sees through most of the media and social media bull
Toon,
You are bang on there, Germanys single minded popularity driven wind and solar push for the last 10-2.0 years has severely screwed them. Wind and solar are poor solutions and no way of storing excess so they had to build loads of gas stations because of the reduction in nuclear. That’s why big oil and gas has been spending billions promoting wind and solar, they know it doesn't work so they will always be required & don’t get me started on how environmentally unfriendly wind farms are, we’re only just beginning to realise lol. I could of told people that years ago :-)
Not too bothered about TMS post, on of my main holding points is his arrival, from my time on this forum and eua iv noticed he tends to turn up on the bear run and quickly disappear on reversal, until it restarts again. Anticipating the next bull run and his silence shortly
I’m holding by the skin of my teeth :-(
Credit cards maxed as spent the money doing house this year and kept my savings in here. As stated believe in the BOD, just hoping for some good news sooner rather than later.
Good luck all holders & happy Christmas to all ( even the boy flys )
This may not be a sound investment decision making process, but, I always do the opposite of what those fools say.
Don’t trust them at all.
GLA - been in here a long time now & really hoping for something this side of Christmas, could do with a win
It wasn’t really an investment, that’s in my isa been there a while now, it was a short term gamble and if the rns bounce got to 28-30 if would of been a few hundred, I’ve gambled more (gamble maybe wrong word, informed punt maybe, which is paying off.)
Bills paid want my play money back,
Ok need is a strong word, I’d be ok but would be tight, it was just a good opportunity I thought 22.8 with rns just in :-)
Suspension was on my mind, but if that happened then id be winning more as it would of signalled the end game was near. :-)
All, it is a serious question.
I hold in my isa my main holding 83,773 shares (wish I had more)
I got paid on the 28th and put £1000 on the hopes of a bigger bounce, with the aim of selling around the 27/28 this week.
I need the 1000 back today to pay bills next week and have to wait 2-3 days for it to clear with ii.
So yes serious, only cashing out my cheeky weekly punt and at the moment iv mad £100 so cash in now or wait to pm was my serious question. Is fomo going to kick in, as Russian holiday ends this weekend?
