Tbh, I’d rather have a grandmother take her false teeth out and gum my balls off, than read another page of this board.
It’s like a dick measuring contest for anonymous keyboard warriors!!!
Shame really and quite sad, even if they are paid to do so???
Feck me, so much bull ship on this board, as a LTH I’m sick of periodically popping in here and seeing all this C R A P, from both sides esp the belittling bears - toooooooo fecking many agendas here. Have a break would you all please. Anything apart from the complete rinse and repeat crud on this board!!!
Ok the problem of today is the g20 & Paris accord. Out Eurocrats / beuro have destroyed our ability to be self sufficient.
The whole Co2 fiasco is a complete lie!!! Now before you all call me a quack I’m not saying Co2 and climate change is a lie, what I’m saying is the figures are!!! The west all signed agreements and resolutions to lower our Co2 and how do we do this???? Fiddle the numbers and out source. We’re still using the same amount of gas and oil but if we mine it and process it we need to use it in our numbers and those produce a lot of Co2, so shut down manufacturing and import all commodities oil, gas, and goods. Then only calculate the Co2 once it’s in the country. Electric cars are a prime example Zero emissions on the back!!! But the average electric car owes 14tonns of Co2 and the average small petrol car ? 9 tonns, therefore it would take approx 90,000 miles for the electric car to be equip in cot to the new small engines ultra efficient petrol cars. It’s all *******s and sadly outsourcing has caused more environmental damage as the country’s we outsource to have far less regard for Co2 production and environmental damage. All we have done is destroy our manufacturing and economies and outsource to more polluting countries all in the name of saying the UK only pollutes 1 % of the worlds Co2! But really do we?
Not a Trump fan, but he knew this, that’s why he pulled out of the Paris accord, started producing their own oil and gas and re invigorated their industry, while also tightening up on china trade. Overall the American people would of been better off, cheaper fuels and more jobs (exactly what happened) but their Co2 output increased. Biden reversed that. Now they use the same amount of fuel but import it so only count the Co2 from use ( paper win) but their people are paying the same price as the Europeans - extortionate oil and gas prices and loss of manufacturing and industry! Why do we go along with this!???
Ricardo,
Not to be to much of an ass, but the EU is not the fairy tail bubble, Spain is on its ass, thousands of empty homes unfinished airports poverty, Italy isn’t much better, Greece broke, numerous Eastern Europe countries used for cheap labour.
I’m not defending Russia at all in this or stating that it’s better in any way, just stating europe is in no way healthy, it has more than a little cold, who knows if it’s terminal…
Toon there discussing legislation now to ban smoking outright by 2030, there are already massive tax levies on sugar. Salt warnings everywhere.
My point about drink was if it were discovered today it would be banned. Trust me if it carries on all things will be banned. Reminds me of the film demolition man. You won’t be able to shake hands :-( lol
Yes, government is there to provide services, and protect the country, I’m sick to my teeth of big government telling me all the time what I can’t do and it needs to stop, as Putin says the west is ruled by rules ……..
You can do this, we’re banning this, we’re legislating that …..
You can’t - smoke, drink, sugar, salt, scooters, air boards…..
Government is making new laws and legislation continuously and it is a never ending machine and every Karen who shouts loud enough gets what they want banned, thank god that some of the things we have today was invented before this big government nonsense.
We would have no: cars, planes, bicycles, beer, table tennis (7 people die per year in Germany alone - so that would be banned) ovens / cookers - fire risk, mobile phones - security risk and fire, laptops, skate boards, roller skates the list is endless.
Unless it makes money for the government or big business it will be banned.
At least she stands up to some of this.
Not so much air space, but we do put them in prevailing wind areas, these winds are used by migrating birds and insects.
As for context, 1.2 trillion equates to about 1/3 of the population estimated in Germany, these insects feed animals/birds and pollinate our crops.
Pretty sure that’s contextual enough.
The road to hell is always paved with good intentions.
P.s the Simpsons didn’t help either, loved that show but looking back that sure had an one sided view, wonder if it was the writers opinion or influenced?
Wonder what the legacy would of been if all the coal fired and gas stations were replaced by nuclear in the 70s wonder if the millions of deaths accountable to coal fired stations would of been worth the legacy eh?
Anyway buff said, come on EUA !!!!
Nuclear is expensive because oil, gas and coal have lobbied with some polititions to legislate it out of the way and spread fear in the population, huge profits to be made by them. Just look at the anti nuclear push of the 1970 in California, the senior leading the charge family owned one of the biggest gas companies and the only one licences to California. Additionally Fukushima background radiation two years after is lower than collarodo mountains. Sadly we never get both sides of the story. Only the story that big money want
Sorry I forgot about the legacy of
1.2 trillion insects killed by wind farms in Germany
1 million bats killed yearly in America
600000 birds killed yearly in America - big rare species
Millions of tonns of copper mined and smelted for turbines - fired in furnaces, not counting that we put wind farms miles away from the grid, so digging up vast areas of land.
Oh and solar panels full of toxic materials that can’t be recycled and have a very short service period - look up Tibet and pollution caused by some of these chemicals…..
the nuclear legacy looks a little more neutral in my eyes, as iv worked in one and have friends working there for 30 years, they don’t glow and have 6fingers.
More free cheap nuclear energy, the sooner poorer nations get cheap clean energy (not wind and solar) the sooner they will care about the environment and not trying to survive by burning down forests and fossil fuels. The western world has the power to do this just not the will.
Summet,
There are 70-80% more trees in the northern hemisphere now than 100years ago, additionally look up greening of the earth by NASA’s, 20% more vegetation in the last 20 years, equalling the size of the Amazon, yes we have our problems, but I wouldn’t call us slum landloards. The modern thinking of humans as a virus on the earth is not good, it’s anti humanism.
Climate change is real, human impact less so, the world and humans will adapt. World poverty has been obliterated on the last 50 years and will continue if the WEF don’t get in the way.
Very untrusting of these people….
