I'd imagine the maturation of the sharesave scheme will be hot topic in the staff room and shop floor, there will be people with share dealing experience and Management with a good understanding of where the company is and having an input. If you'd put some of your hard earned away every month would you be selling at the first chance, dont think so. Staff will have also seen the SP drop 10%+ over the last ten days and I'm sure will wait it out unless thay had something pre planned. We dropped 10% over 10 days last March and then gained it back again over the next 10days, same could happen here and May isn't far away.

We shouldn't lose sight that these are good strong figures, particularly considering the climate and factors out of our control. The numbers aren't perhaps as excellent as we or the market were expecting, we got excited and ahead of ourselves, let's not forget we're potentially looking at one of the most profitable years in a decade. Equally we're still up 20% since before mid year report only 2 months ago.

Debate as you will but I'm out for the day so will read later. My personal debate as is the case with any calender event or price point is..do I sell and put in a savings account to get 5% over the next 12mths or do I expect a better return staying put...no consideration need..that was easy. £3 by May or my names not Fforestgwmp

Let the rise continue. What interested me with the Aldi, Lidl and to a certain extent Tesco updates was not only the increased sales but the increased sales % of their premium lines. If the lower end of the market is seeing that during cost of living it can only be a good reflection on us. Only concern for me is clothing, the new range is good but are people buying? Yes a very strong start, currently showing a quarter of the 10% needed for £3, we've done roughly 10% after each of the last 3 updates so bodes well. Ideally I'd like to see us over 285 before hand to give us a better chance of still being £3 plus at the end of January.
