I think the answer to a decent sized acquisition would be a combination of bank debt + cash + deferred consideration / payment in shares.......I think that this will come good. I believe management know that the only way to scale the business is thro niche acquisitions which is I think what they are working on.

As a former pro investor, there arent that many companies of this size that have attracted the calibre of NEDs that ST have, nor for that matter have a chairman as forthright and on the ball as Bundred. I know the guys at Hardman are very excited by the prospects for the company, and like you I have them in both my SIPP and spread across various ISA holdings. Execution risk is my biggest concern, something which the team clearly understand. One would hope that the next announcement is due soon. Markets generally look very toppy to me

1. Share price has been a disaster zone under HAA's leadership
2. His attempted mugging of s/holders for monies for doing his job is outrageous
3. He's running out of cash to pay people so wtf is actually happening on the ground no one here knows.
4. The comments about supervises,overseeing etc hare the same comments he has been making for ages.....you dont just start digging stuff out of the ground you need infrastructure in place and there is scant evidence beyond a few photos and maps.
5. Even if he actually god forbid gets funding in place he will need more capital (and I think another fund raise), and then you are faced with the thorny issue of when the assets get built and start producing...so yes even I am thinking beyond HAA and I still see major issues

Raw materials inflation may be hard to pass thro to the supermarkets; equally food service sector still re-emerging after Covid. Given the wafer-thin margins this is all about sales growth but I still can't see what the fundamental case for buying it is, much as I am trying. Can anyone suggest?

While the team remains uber confident of making progress this year, with no definitive contract news since last September's OEM8 contract award, I sense the absence of news is starting to impact sentiment. SP is hovering c60p down 20pc from the peak and potentially edging its way back to the placing price.

Both NEDs both referred to the issues a small cap faces negotiating with OEMS. With limited managerial bandwidth, Kevin and David have their work cut out to keep momentum from stalling. Let's hope they have some concrete news to impart soon.

Hasn't he been clearing the land and resettling for years? How are his people being paid on the ground? He must be burning through cash (or giving them IOUs).....all very unsatisfactory. If he does manage to get the pitiful level of funding we've been promised for ages, he will rapidly exit stage left leaving s/holder to figure out of this thing has any realistic chance of delivering gold and copper......

With usual conditionalities attached and lots of HAA language trying to indicate progress when in truth there’s little beyond liberal use of verbs like overseeing, No wonder so is drifting lower. Another placing is coming and soonish

I predict that the sp will bounce hard but that once the initial euphoria subsides, the focus will be on project delivery which will spin us right back to whether one believes HAA can (a) manage the project to time and (b) deliver amworking mine

1. Holders and ex-holders seem to be in agreement that the assets have substantial potential value both in E and Saudi

2. The real difference of opinion is over how toxic HAA is proving to the success of the venture. The bears of this man point to the evidence is (a) HAA 's track record (b) Share price performance over last few years and (c) the catalogue of broken promises. The bulls say forget the past missteps and misdemeanours and that none of this matters if financing gets announced post/with AGM......
