Because I want to look Andrew Newland in the eyes and hear him say he that he is responsible for the mess. Have a look at the chart over last 10 years. S/holders who backed him in 2004 (excluding massive dilutions along the way) have lost 93% off their investment. SP today hovers just above the all-time low of 7.5p back in 2008.

It tells you that signing off on the finance isn't happening soon......more likely is that Adams announces further final, final final discussions pending final definitive sign off in near future.....so forget September & October.....more likely that the rotten carpet-bagger is preparing to shear his PI sheep again.....hence Winnifrith angst

I see that Adams is at it again, detonating yet more word howitzers on his flock of PI sheep, prior to announcing another delay in proceedings....and another .....and another.....and what nonsense about eh GOld price...ffs, he doesnt have the finance, he hasn't cleared the site, he hasn't starting building the mine, let alone extracting any gold for sale....

The big issue here is that institutional investors have by and large run out of patience with Newland & Griffiths because the two of them have consistently & repeatedly misled investors on commercial progress, completely missed their own financial forecasts (often within months of those statements), and shown a total disregard to honest communications.

There are no signs of that corrosive pattern of behaviour changing. Griffiths tells investors we have no need to raise funds till Q2 2025, then promptly raises £8m; Newland basically legs investors over at capital raises which are almost always followed by revenue misses......and the Board does nothing

In the real world aka the commercial world whatever the sticker price of a Parsortix machine is, we already know (griffths alluded to this previously) that a percentage of machines are effectively 'donated' to research institutions, either at nil cost or at heavily discounted cost. Newland and Griffiths have never been transparent with their shareholders. Take a look at themizo's posting on ADVFN for the assessment of a longstanding s/holder of 15 years about Newland. it doesnt make pretty reading

You are missing the point: This is all about Newland, Griffths & Groen's credibility with investors. Check their statements in AR signed off on June 12 a straight lift from the HY RNS (so they would near as dammit know what HY figs were already).

"Revenue for H1 2024 is expected to be between £1.0 million and £1.3 million with a total of c.40% of FY24 market expectations for revenue already contracted year to date. The Company has a strong current pipeline of opportunities that has more than doubled year to date, with significant potential growth opportunities across a variety of end customers, including large pharma. As such, the management remains confident in delivering strong growth in 2024 in line with current market expectations."

That statement was made to investors as they were raising £8m. If Newland was lying just to get the raise away, seriously there will be hell to pay.....because all of us will have been misled.

Rahter than kicking on after the FDA approval, it became quite clear that Newland didn't have a viable commercial strategy (something the dreadful former chair should have absolutely been on top of). Ever since then, teh share price has been labouring under a big "Newland discount", that has only got bigger as time has marched on. First we had the raise at 80p that was swifly followed a months later by a revenue miss that cratered the sp, followed by cost-cutting shutting down Canada and doing reverse-ferret on US lab testing....there was a brief respite when Newland somehow managed to announced the Eisei deal (which fell into current year), and the 2 AZ deals. The Newland hype-machine went into overdrive heading into the 15p raise....since then, the concerns about Newland & Griffiths's forecasts have firmly squashed confidence .

Newland has, as you know, firmly and consistently told the market that revenues for the FY will be £6m. That is a serious statement (esp if you have just gone to shareholders cap in hand in June), which investors have a right to expect is constructed on proper commercial information rather than magical thinking. Newland has given himself no room for manoevre as a result of his statements. He simply has to deliver on the numbers -there can be no excuses, as the market will not give him the benefit of the doubt this time.

You are totally missing the bloody point. This is a listed company with shareholders in UK & US. Shareholders expect the executive team to manage the company properly, which means among other things, providing realistic forecasts, and meeting their own commercial expectations. Given that timescales in this sector are often elongated and subject to change, professional investors take that into account. However, if the Company concerned consistently hypes progress, regularly misses their own revenue targets (especially after reiterating their confidence), and appears to deliberately mislead its own investors, as Newland & Griffiths have done on numerous occasions and look like doing again, then attitudes change.

Groen signed off on the Annual Report statement jointly with Newland. If Newland issues revenue warning then it will be crystal clear that he was prepared to blatantly lie to shareholders during the fund raise, despite knowing that the chances of hitting the £6m FY revs target was virtually zero.

It's not a profit warning ...it's a sales warning. If this does come to pass, and I sincerely pray it doesn't, then the Senior Independent Director on the Board (Brian Howlett) will have to answer why the chair Groen & Newland had in their joint Chairman & CEO Statement in the Annual Report, signed off & dated June 12th (when they pretty much knew the HY figs to 30 June) the following (a straight lift from FY results release):

Not sure I get the joke! Newland has been given something over £100m and been supported through thick and thin, and the result, pretty much every single shareholder is sitting on losses. This is serious stuff, and I dont find it remotely funny that Newland's attitude remains so cavalier and frankly contemptuous. Baillie Gifford halved their holding (and I suspect have soldf out since) since his last jocularity when raising funds at 80p only to then issue a big revenue warning.

Incorrect. It is absolutely the point to focus on revenue forecasts. I suspect you have never sat in an asset management company's office either as a fund manager or a sell side analyst or for that matter as a company making its case/meeting its investors. I have over decades, and I can assure you that it matters, because trust and competency matter. Newland & Griffiths will have pitched to current holders and new investors when they raised the monies in June. Investors will have seeking (1) Reassurance that the growth equity story is intact and (2) that the Company is managed competently and is hitting its own forecasts.....If Newland now turns around this month & issues a revenue downgrade, trust will evaporate.

What an absolute brilliant job Newland & Griffiths are doing to improve shareholder relations! Not content with years of overpromising & systemic under-delivery, having secured £8m by puffing prospects & consistently reiterating that they were standing by £6m revs forecast for current year, it looks likely that Newland will once again have effectively told a whopper.
