Rainbow Rare Earths Phalaborwa project shaping up to be one of the lowest cost producers globally. Watch the video here.
As usual, whenever the S&N share price rises above 1000 and we all hope that maybe this is the start of some real upwards momentum, it sinks down to the comfort zone of the 980's. I'm sure this predictable flat-lining must be why the CEO is paid several million pounds per year...
And spot on to you too DB - I have exactly the same sentiments. I average 8.5p here and I know I won't see most of that again. To be frank, I am over £20,000 down. Best not to dwell on it too much. At least I got into Rolls at 1.11, so that has more than compensated me for DKL. Swings and roundabouts I guess. Or with respect to DKL perhaps better to say a trapdoor to the murky depths where the sharks circle...
Agreed. I have to say that as a BoD is obliged to act in the interests of its shreholders I wonder why a premium of over 20% to the current sp is not adequate reason for agreeing to the takeover. I guess they can always argue that they will, in time, deliver better returns, but I know which outcome I'd prefer....
Yes, it's all rather curious isn't it? Results didn't seem bad, and most brokers are moderately bullish on S&N. Yet every time we get above 1000 the share price sinks again a few days later. No wonder there was some rebellion against the CEO's £9m pay - what has he actually accomplished and done to move things forward? I feel that we are stuck in treacle here. Annoying as this is one of my bigger holdings and I was confident that post-covid things would progress quickly. Yet another mistake by me alas !
Yes, it's all a little curious isn't it - fairly positive results and a 5% fall. I am still under water with S&N by perhaps 6% but I've today averaged down at 1057 and have confidence that patience will be rewarded - hopefully within the next few months
I suspect that many long-term holders such as myself have lost so much that we are now just going to sit it out. I am certainly not going to add more shares in another attempt to offset very heavy losses - tried that and failed dismally. By far my largest loss in terms of both percentage and funds, so I have mentally parked DKL and if things improve to even half of the broker's forecast I will see that as a pleasant bonus - though I need to get to about 8p just to break even. Ah well....
Welcome to 2024 Dekelites. Significantly more purchases than sales today yet the share price falls. Isn't it reassuring to know that, in these strange times, there is one stable and predictable occurrence which is the ability of DKL to comply with the laws of gravity and sink ever lower into the abyss. Happy new year all!
Sustained and large numbers (for DKL) of sales. As ever, my cynical side suspects that prior knowledge for a few insiders is driving the sales and hence fall in sp. Sadly, I am in here for quite a large number. I see no point in selling now and crystalising an 80% loss, but I have pretty much written the lot off. A rather grim and opaque company and a painful lesson learned for me. Next time I'll invest in tulips...
Indeed - these great figures have prompted a big rise in sp as buyers flood in buoyed and excited by this dynamic and well-run company ... No, wait, the sp has fallen yet again - over 35% down from where it was a month or three ago. Ye gods.....
