Morning , may I ask you all what is the earliest date I can sell my Lloyds stock and retain the dividend ?

Sold all my M&S Rubbish stock at a considerable loss a few months back ,if I still held would of lost another 5K ,did I see down another 6% today? …I will buy in @ 120 before Xmas

Bought twice today early morning 10k worth then another 20k after lunch when it dropped 1p … airline travel a total shamble , trains travel ?? C’ mon ! Price of petrol and car travel ??? No one’s going anywhere can’t afford to eat out soooo ! even more money in Tesco Lidl and Aldi purse but NOT M&S as it is run by an incompetent bunch of over paid clowns ! I did want to use a 4 letter word .So price 249 tonight tell me I’m wrong if you don’t make 5% clear in the next 40 days

DYR …oh hold on a minute! last l looked Tesco up 6 points about 2.5% Yipeeeeee! with spending trends on eating out very expensive and take aways expensive yes the weekly shop spend per person will be less but the number of people dining at home will increase so more shoppers it’s simple ,think I predicted 262 by Xmas or sooner …Good luck with your L&G a stock I know nothing about … not sure why you are so interested in my Tesco post are you a shorter ?

Good and respectful reply Neil …as to company buying at the right price off the top of my head not sure what the average is a it’s been picking small amounts since we formed the company in 1980 (the business dates back to 1900 ) I’m retired now and I wasn’t the director that looks after the portfolio it was my big brother way better at it than me ,we got a good spread of about 28 company’s from all fields … take care roll on Monday …..PS I did buy and sell Tesco twice in the last 10 days ,then bought back in yesterday at 255 46k worth inc expenses down a 1k …….I like their dividends ! ..take care Neil maybe you not so bad after all ..but you do post a lot !

Yes it could of been it happens then again maybe not .I like Tesco poss my most common buy sell ,also they pay dividends , I made a small profit early in the week and last week , but now sadly down on the deal but not selling .in round figures I bought back in just under 255 46k worth now inc espeses it’s worth 45k down a thousand but looks like a closing rally on the stock ..I wasn’t just talking of that one big purchase there were several …..wish me luck

Oh dear oh dear Neil I am perfectly calm one reason I’m lucky enough not to hold any M&S stock all the signs were there that it would drop from 250 - 134 in less than a year I just thought I knew better I was wrong ……..You never answered my main question so I’ll ask you again how much M&S stock are you holding today ?? Although I now hold no stock personally I am a Main shareholder in a family business that does in its portfolio so ofcourse I want to see M&S do well . Good luck

Yeah me too at Mill bought back in @ 254.8 this morning ,made a little early in the week buying Monday selling Tuesday all small margins though ….last week there were some very big buyer at 20 - 30 million £ paying 259 nothing is certain but I feel we will gain good luck ..I have put to sell @ 259.5 ??

Idiot ! you picked the one jump from around 150 to 250 in the last 3 decades ???? And made half a million pounds really !?? A clown of a company , has been for 30 years from memory were their shares not around £4 then , bought and sold this stock 30- 40 times over the years with mixed results mostly bad ..to the bean counters and management who run M&S you rob the company with your big bonuses and give nothing back .. I sold a large about of this stock not that long ago @ 266 paid over £3 ..just a boring useless waist of time never never again

Bought back in today @ 256 sold yesterday @ 262 50 ..almost covered costs on second buy already .yes money is tight for luxury spends like fashion ,dinning out ..even takeaways now very expensive …affordable supermarkets will shine this winter plus good dividends ..it’s a roll of the dice I know

Its just so boring now …Sold at 160 taking a big hit bought at 199 ..still think this is the most manipulated stock lately …..Buy Tesco should make 10% to 12% by Xmas ??

Although retail ie fashion ,electrical ,household goods will see hard times I believe food sales at keenly priced supermarkets will stable then rise with less people eating out I seldom do starters in restaurants round here (west London ) cost more than I used to pay for a main also take away meals very expensive..So sod the shorters morally I don’t care for them and I truly believe Tesco will make 10% -12% on todays price by Xmas if not sooner .

Shaun Im a bit new here I too bought Tesco twice today and I believe I will be entitled to the upcoming dividend ? .. when can I sell and still receive div ….?? not thinking of selling I believe with cost of dinning out snd takeaways all supermarkets ( except M&S a brand leader that has gone nowhere and done nothing in 25 years ) will give a fair rtn over the next few months just curious how long I have to hold them for cash flow purposes anybody?
