Bit of a negative post if you don't mind me saying so. Part of the reason the UK retail side made a loss is that they were having to absorb some of the relocation costs from moving their UK head office from Manchester to their other premises in Buckinghamshire last summer. These will be one-off costs which will presumably not show in results for FY13. They have a good business plan with their Network Services division being set up shortly to create further revenue. I'm sure this is just a short term blip being caused by sales from short term investors. FW

.......big ofload late afternoon of 11m shares. Hopefully now we'll see some decent sense and good buys reflecting the bargain price and good medium to long term prospects :) FW

I have just pored over the Final Years results again, wondering if I missed something, and I am still very positive about the medium to long term prospects for this stock. Just wish I had more cash to buy at these obscenely low prices. My feeling is that we will see a large buyer soon, willing to take a long-term punt on this one. Watch this space ...... FW

.......has kicked in now, with people probably panic selling. Totally unnecessary really as there has been no bad news but we've seen this before with this stock. I firmly believe this will present a good buying opportunity now (mind you I thought that when I last topped up @ 1.26p !! One could always take a view that the MMs are manipulating the stock ? FW

There is something very wierd about this stock. More buys than sells and the price drops, good results recently and the price drops and loads of (supposed) sells yesterday and the price remains flat. Am I missing something ?! FW

Yes, I agree, probably a large investor who is having to sell in chunks. Still, should make the MM's a decent profit if things do lift. FW

......three early trades today for individual sales of 1m shares, and sales yesterday of a similar magnitude. Anyone know whether these were actually sales or should have shown as buys ? FW

I too am staying with this one for the longer term. Short termers hoping to get rich quick will probably be bailing out as we speak, but price will level out and rise on next good news. In such a tough climate they have done well, couped with the fact that as a group they have managed to absorb the costs of the relocation from Manchester to Marlow I am impressed (and lets not forget Peter Jones only invested in the company two years ago when things were looking bleak for Expansys). Looking forward to 2013 with an optimistic view. Good luck all you long-termers :) FW

......and buys showing as sells again. There will be a few punters selling to make a quick buck today hence initial share rise then fall back), but the results bode well in my opinion for the longer term holders (like me). Cash position is good with positive changes coming to increase revenue. FW

Yes I too was away earlier this year and couldn't believe the amount of gadgets now being used by ALL age ranges. Good buys going through today (mine being one of them) but interestingly not moving the share price ! FW

.....but lets temper our optimism until the figures are released. Best not to guess share prices at this stage as this one has surprised us before. I am however a believer. FW

Have just read through 10th Jan 2012 Retail Division's trading update and have re-gained my optimism that full year results will be pleasing. Through the months of Nov & Dec 2011 retail revenues were up 30% on 2010 with strong results in the US and Asia (which I believe from previous posts is where Expansys were channelling investment in light of the slowdown in UK & Europe). One has to remain optimistic :) FW

My purchase @ 16.28 of 239,772 shares was again listed as a 'Sell' , so I would suggest most of today's trades were again purchases, barring perhaps those around the 1.20 mark. Good luck all. FW

Like Vascular before me, I have just purchased 156,500 shares @ 9.22am. This is showing as a sell, so that sea of red yesterday should perhaps have been blue !! Good luck all, thought I'd get a cheeky last minute buy in just in case there's some good news in the results :) FW

Yes, looks like your buy has been registered as a sell. So makes you wonder how many other sells have shown as buys over the last few days. Oh well, looks like results will be out next week now, hope they make pleasant reading for all. FW

Thanks for that. I'm a positive guy, so I'll get myself sorted. Yes, on reflection, I'm sure that 7m trade on 6th could well have been a buy not a sell, why would anyone dump that volume so close to the full year end results ? FW
