Sierra Leone's 72-hour lockdown has ended with the authorities announcing one new case of Covid-19 and declaring that all of the primary contacts of those infected had been located.                                

It would be no suprise if Covid locldown and cancellation of flights was part of the reason. Things have changed

No, the main contract was definitely signed (See February RNS). Subsidiary contract is not so crucially important as that, but there would obviously be a mess for Scanport to sort out if WSG did a runner. There is a close relationship between Scanport and WSG which obviously makes sorting out that side of the contract business less critical though I grant you, not unimportant. The doubters have raised their doubts t each and every stage of the TEMA project:-
- It is not a genuine contract / simply designed to raise hopes for fundraising
- Genuine contract opportunity but PF will mess it up
- They are not working at the port
- They are working but they are being used / not getting paid
- They are only being paid "at cost"
- The contract won't actually be signed
- The port is in lockdown / the port will close /lose the staff
Etc...
........But all the while the money still keeps on coming in, and that money is increasing.

I share the same understanding as you. The unfinished part of Berth 3 was not sea wall but car park / stacking area. I suspect that was the easiest. Either things have slowed up, or it has happened already, just without fanfare.

The Ports Management Association of West and Central Africa has stated that port platforms cannot shut down in the wake of the coronavirus crisis because they are critical infrastructures and necessary for the survival of nations and vital to the population and economy.

The Association in a communique signed by its Secretary-General, Jean-Marie Koffi has therefore set out stringent health and safety measures to be implemented in all Western and Central Africa Ports in order to preserve workers’ health, limit the spread of the virus and avoid the prolongation of this public health crisis and its economic consequences.

Port Authorities are to ensure that the measures are effectively implemented within the stakeholders of the port community and provide all the necessary means to protect employees at the workplace.

Port Authorities are also to ensure Harbour Masters implement these new health, safety and security measures immediately.

As cj53 says, the project is many months ahead of schedule. There was a car park / stacking area being released end of Q1 - but this is not actually due for many months. Bert 4 = Dec 2020.

The call for ia significant IMO. I dont subscribe to the ciew mentioned here that such screening is pointless just because it is possible for a person to be asymptomatic. If governments take the lead on this as they surely must then regulation of this type willl follow

What I think is that you are no doubt a smart person, but you will always be a disappointed investor - the reason for that is simple: you either do not know how to use the information you acquire, or you do not have any conviction in your own beliefs. I am not here to convince you that black is white - in truth it is actually grey.

I don't necessarily disagree with that, but all this tells me is that either the hit rate is low, or slow, or both. So what do you do with that information - the question always is to sell or hold or buy. You should have sold but that's not my flaw to fix. I cannot for it for you. I would expect things to take an age with "cusps", because essentially we have always been told that much too. I don't imagine seeing multiple MSC's signed in any short period. I do think, however, that even a single MSC signed has a material impact on this business, and this makes the company a highly investable proposition, particularly now that it has demonstrable evidence it can do what you doubted. Iran was a feather in that cap too, actually but it didn't make us money in the - probably wasted a lot of time..... But don't let me tempt you to remain a holder please! Covid-19 has screwed things up a bit but not nearly as much as people were predicting and/or hoping. I remain a keen holder.

Iran was one of them. Nearly got it too, probably good job we didn't actually get started as it turned out. Tema came out of the blue. You are hoping that something will change. .... Well, I will tell you it is slow going, and so we can get knocked. That is the business we are in., and that is the gamble. I don't need anyone to tell me that. The evidence says the BoD are working on leads all the time, but you can't expect to get 12 of them all dropping at once. 1 or 2 might drop in any given year. It can happen. But it isn't like selling cans of Coke, and as an investment you appear to want more from than the business can deliver right now. I see a business slowly moving forward, and PF is the spokesperson for that vision (and not the only CEO who tends to be over optimistic at times), but this is a small micro cap on AIM which has to survive to realise that vision. It is doing so. It is having a much better go, and has better prospects than many AIM companies IMO.
