Yes, the beauty is it can all be retrofitted, so no problem there. It's quite simple I believe. Aware of all the other possibilities too, I've spent a lot of time looking at all those and will be happy to share some of my promising conclusions anon!

banaman you seem to be on top of this, so much appreciated for sharing your workings out. I might have been well out with my initial calculations for the HGVs as I was assuming this:-

- 15 panels per roof
- 5,000w per panel
= 75,000w per HGV

But maybe what it should have been is 15 panels = 5,000w per lorry roof? Rather than work out the customer costs I was trying to work out production capacity was how many MW production was needed for, say, 100 HGV s/lorries. Or basing it on the Italy factory (10MW), how many lorries that would fit out?

Researching this has not occupied my time to date so maybe I missed something. I thought it was just music that LucyD played, and it was not a heads up display....? As for it being a small niche market, not a bit of it. Have a good look at what Apple have been saying. They say it will be revolutionary - bigger and more important than the dawn of the I-phone. If you watch the video you will see why.

That's what I am trying to work out, and why they believe they need a second factory set up right now (and bigger than the first) - shows confidence! I think there might be a reason for this.

You are correct about thin film flexible solar - traditionally it has only had 5-8% efficiency or thereabouts so pretty useless. VDTK are now producing at >20% I think, with sights set on 25%. Even a 1% gain is massive in terms of overall costs efficiency, return on capital and payback time frames.

Also, the thin film solar panels are not commercially viable in many applications because they deteriorate faster when exposed to the elements whereas our panels are now certified with two important classifications which prove it has been independently tested, is rigorous and durable.

I have a large holding already but bought a good deal more today.

I agree. Salt Me is a silly name. I dont think the branding should use salt in the name at all. Should have just invented something snappy amd memorable. How about something like "50s" ( i.e 50% salt). Or "munch em ups" ...or "Sallies" (i.e slang for Salarius).

Think I will claim naming rights royalties on all those. If the company is reading please email me so we can agree terms :-)

I had a good read through those technology patents for Microsalt in case there is an obvious work around. You can judge this fir yourselves but im my view they are very strong - not only covering a host of other potential carrying particles but also other non sodium chloride salt formulations - for example it includes potassium. Potassiun enriched sodium has been touted as a low salt alternative but it has taste issues. Either way, we have got it covered and this IP is going to be very valuable.

I have never been more pleased with an investment as far as the prospects go here. In fact the Salarius IP is so good I can see this product being ubiquitous like ARM became in the microchip world, if you can excuse the pun!!!

I hope to be conducting my own blind taste test next week under controlled lab conditions. My research will appear in the Lancet. I havr a hunch that SaltMe will do very well.

Yeah £25k for a bag is a steep even for my expensive tastes!
They ought to think about it serioualy though - good PR exercise for investors.

TradingLad we were discussing whether Microsalt is as goodnas its cracked up to be (or should that be cracked down!? ;-) ). This is from North Carolina State University (Sensory Service Centre):-

A university-controlled study found that MicroSalt® “…achieved 55% reduction of sodium content while achieving taste parity with the flake salt control,” and that “no statistically significant differences were found in perceived saltiness…among 20 judges on three occasions.”

The test was done with an original market leading potato chip brand (control), and unsalted chips which were then salted with MicroSalt®.

The MicroSalt® salted chips were shown to have 55% less sodium than the control, with no perceivable difference in flavor.

This looks interesting..... I would not have thought a garden centre roof would be capable of carrying the weight of so many standard solar panels...?
