Paniclater. I think your analysis holds up for long term investing, well run companies always solidly increase long term.

What happened yesterday we've seen so many times. Great results and a logic defying reversal. Shows the dangers of day trading as your main strategy rather than a sideline.

Looking at a positive note the FTSE is on a bit of a downer today with IAG trading third best on the index with pretty heavy volume.

Betterlife. As far as I can see IAG was trading about £1.50 in March 2020. Not too bad a return on today's £3.70.

You could go for safer stocks but with IAG which is a very well run company with massive turnover and decent margins you are gambling with external factors such as geopolitical instability, future pandemics and surge in oil prices for multiple reasons.

Markets have chosen to ignore Trump at this stage. Markets couldn't be reacting to him changing his mind every 5 minutes
