If that were true then people would be buying the shares. The price is where it is because it’s unattractive at this price.

It certainly wasn’t Iran crashing a drone into that tanker the other day. Somebody wanting Iran to get the blame - yes.

I read a headline that one of the tobacco companies says the future is weed and tobacco should be banned worldwide.

Add that to BP. Electric vehicles as well. Times are changing, but very slowly for the large greedy old corporations. Too slowly for them. They are losing market share hand over fist.

If all the vehicle manufacturers hadn’t sat on their greedy little hands and delayed the inevitable electric future, Tesla wouldn’t be the massive hit it is. Every other car on the road these days is a Tesla. If they did a proper SUV I’d have one too.

Too little too late from the old sleepy giants.

I’m guessing that Lloyds isn’t doing a buyback now because they know they’ll be hoovering up shares at a lower price later.

When does HMG stop underwriting loans and mortgages? How many Lloyds loans, credit cards and mortgages are exposed when underwriting stops?

Seems to be an incredibly random purchase. What is the vision behind the acquisition? Is there the expertise to blend it into Lloyds and grow it? I’m very sceptical about strange buyouts like this … when and where was the deal talked about? Over a board table or on a golf course?

I guess we’ll see over time. But how much time? 5 year strategy? 10? It won’t make any immediate difference.

We’re not immune from Covid even with the jabs therefore our lives could be somewhat shortened. Therefore retirement plans don’t pay out so much long term?

The excitement was short lived. Seems the investors are nervous and not moving the price higher. Struggling to break the months’ highs.

If they are giving circa a quarterly div as a half year div. where is all that surplus cash from the last 2 years?

Every hospitalisation from Covid is one that shouldn’t be there. The happy equilibrium is cold/flu/and the usual breaks/sprains/cancer/heart disease/etc.

So every hospitalisation screws the system up. Covid reduces beds and staff for other normal stuff.

Now fast forward 3-4 months. Yes the markets are uneasy.

Also - any dividend payment comes out the share price. So paying divi doesn’t necessarily bump the price up - more likely a slight tick down reflecting the size of dividend.

Who’s got the list of Friday share price guesses?
I can’t remember what I put … think I’m a penny out though.

I reckon we’ll see 45.08 by Tuesday if it holds near 46.00 today.
