How much are they charging for their warhammer effort?

£50, £60 and £65. It’s not actually in the sale event at all …

It’s poorly rated on Steam - ‘mixed’ rating means it’s marmite with limited length of enjoyment. £50 minimum for a failing game?!

They have missed this sale event completely. Next one will be the biggest sale of the year, Winter Holiday Sale. If they try to sell the game for anything over £25 they will struggle again.

The chairman leaving isn’t going to solve these wide-ranging problems …

Someone needs to step up and tell PI’s how they’re going to stop haemorrhaging share value.

I expect Jonny to be in the office 6 days a week getting this sorry ship back on track and kicking a lot of asses to make a good game that gets good reviews and actually makes some money.

I can’t see myself ever getting back in here - I was tempted at £2, and now look what they did to the price.

It’s like playing Russian roulet.

They’ve been treating the company finances like it’s one of their CMS games, with no consequences. Like they finish playing it, say “oh well never mind”, and then just press New Game.

I lost a fortune on this share and I suspect other PI’s still are.

The 25/26/27 CMS releases … are they F1 Manager games?! It’s really unclear if it is or if it’s something no new, or rehashes of old IP.

Thing is LM we’ve mostly all lost a lot of money here, and it looks like the company is riding a thin line between rights issue and an abyss. If there is a future for the company, then the company is holding the cards very close to their chests.

Is it too cheap though?

October 2016 they were circa same price as now but they had huge plans for their cash cow Elite.

2019 they launched Foundry which should have begun a success as a 3rd party publisher.

Both currently buried under rubble.

A possibility of a share issue. What for though? Surely they should be cutting headcount and scaling back so it’s not needed.

They floated - they completely balls’d it up. Do they now need another cash injection to do anything substantial?

These spreadsheet game boffins surely need to learn how to run a publicly traded company?

If they used some new money to relaunch a fixed Elite on all devices it could be interesting. I’m not sure they have the leadership and vision to pull it off though.

Otherwise, I would be incredibly worried that they work with a mindset that tells them they can keep making HUGE mistakes because all they gotta do is print more money by issuing new shares.

Issuing new shares and buying more studios, won’t help, if you’ve still got the same people that messed up over and over again in place.

The success of this company is dependent on Jonny Watts (CEO). Except he was already in the company as each and every flop has been released. So the question is, was he arguing for or against the company releasing substandard/buggy games/updates? Was he saying “if we release that in its current form it’ll flop”? If he couldn’t see the car crashing multiple times, what will that mean for future releases.

I’m not sure pinning hopes on the new Warhammer game paying the wages of 900 staff is right - however they must be making some big future releases because 900 staff is just madness otherwise.

It’s fine having a cute private company where everyone gets looked after and treated like a lifer, and no one owns their failures, but when it’s publicly traded with other peoples money and the leaders keep releasing mess after mess after mess after mess …

That would be lovely, but … all 3 people bought on exactly the same day (20 jan) and volumes of 10k, 10k and 5k. Reads to me like share awards.

I don’t think it’s directors buying shares - I think it’s part of their rewards package. However - given the results of the value of the share, how much it’s declined and the lack of anything positive - why are they being allocated shares?! Rewards are supposed to be weighted on performance - NOT just handed out as freebies.

I guess we’ll see soon enough. Watts is in the habit of offloading his shares at a high. Let’s see if he builds up his portfolio …
Would love to know what their rewards abs remuneration packages are - what CONDITIONS are in place to demand performance levels … I hope they’re not just hoovering shares and dumping with no conditions …

Hopefully a sign of fair value?
Hopefully FDEV working hard in the background on new IP, or major news regarding Elite going F2P with item/currency sales to boost player counts. Would I pay £20 for Elite + £30 for Odyssey after reading the absolutely dire reviews of Odyssey? No.

Check the News tab, and Numis. Near the bottom they mention a couple of big releases in 2025. I can hang on to see what that could be. A sale before that would be giving the company away so I hope that isn’t the case.

What is on the horizon to boost the price?

Frontier needs to announce some new stuff. I don’t mean DLC shrubs for Jurassic World. Something good, something big.

Stranded: Alien Dawn seems to be received quite well. Early access at the moment and it needs to fully release problem-free.

F1 Manager is getting some good reviews now but other reviews are severe and complaining that there is still stuff that needs fixing. I can see it is being sold at £45, the same as Football Manager. Maybe with the more favourable reviews now this will be a slow burner until they get a chance to release a F1 Manager 2023.

Surviving Mars is something to look forward to. It needs to release problem-free.

I really can’t see how Foundry has NOTHING coming up … Frontier should replace ‘whoever’ with a creative buyer from another publisher because something is wrong there.

Apparently they have between 600 - 790 people involved with Frontier but … no big projects to announce; a problematic F1 Manager release; a problematic Odyssey launch; no upcoming Foundry launches …

They bought the Warhammer guys in Canada and that game looks wonderful. But surely nothing big will come out from that studio for another couple of years - although hopefully some DLC before something bigger.

I’m struggling to stay positive here but I’ve got no choice. I’m going to loose a lot of money if these guys don’t start pulling rabbits out of hats. I haven’t slept the past 2 nights.
