meeh I wouldn't say that...I think he saw a realistic chance at a Twiggy 2.0 outcome, and adopted a "my way or the highway" approach to get there. But eventually the other players all agreed on "highway" so he fell on his sword. I have no strong idea about which is best, but I know this Value Valley is sending me to an early grave.

ok then, why not compare xtr with a stock I have no emotional attachment to because I didn't know it existed until half an hour ago - World Copper wcu.v They already got a roughly 2MT CuEq resource at~.4ish, they have potentially a very large oxide component to that. They have quite a studly board/management team, ...and a market cap of 8.5 million pounds.

Panda, that's true, there is a premium for "good" countries and so there should be. but to paraphrase Rick Rule on this topic - 1. The good countries aren't that good and the premium paid is too high. 2. My money is just as gone if it's stolen by white people. 3. It's better to have a great deposit in a so-so country, than a so-so deposit in a great country.

cyberiachas - It wasn't my intention to discuss it, but it has freaky ratios of capex to npv, and of market cap to npv. See, there's hope for .3%Cu deposits yet! The middle of nowhere is both a pro and a con for mine development, but the cons are merely costs, which have already been factored into their incredible scoping study. Much further advanced, much lower price.

Playing mindreader is obviously easier than refuting my argument. It's all about comparative value. There is (virtually) no stock that is good or bad but pricing makes it so. I'm interested in value, so I comment where I see it, and where I see it not. That's all.

Well looking at the scale of the existing Anglo copper properties, this make the eventuality ever more unlikely.

it's a nice feature about the Anglo deal in that, if they want to buy in, they have to pay the going rate, rather than a pre-agreed amount as seen in other deals, which often severly caps the upside. Nope, if they want it, they pay a fair price for their 80% of a 2MT Cu/Eq resource. But then the question arises, just what is the market rate right now for a 2MT CuEq resource? (allowing for grades and other economic inputs.) That would take some digging, but my preferred copper play, dsm.v has a~2.5MT CuEq resource, and a market cap of 15 million quid. But that's cheap.

Porvenir is at the other end of the country. Don't you mean Tandayama? Also, that's the whole point of underground mining rather than open pit....you don't have a " huge amount of low grade material needing mining before better grades are reached" if you cut in and put the drawbells right under the deposit's highest grading areas. Big bucks asap that way.

Solgold's initial half a billion tons are @ 1.5%Cueq. The rest matters not.

Well I bought my Solgold mostly in the 2-3p range. I didn't listen to what naysayers there were because Solgold's drilling numbers were already comparable to the world's best. Not so with Bushranger. End of story.

Lucky, fair point. I expect there will be better drill results re grade, but probably not in terms of mineralised metres or gram/metres, seeing as this was a Director's Special right down the longest axis.

The news release is dodgy in that it references rubbish Boda drill hits, rather than the superior Boda drill hits that established their value.

Cadia is panel caving at roughly 1%CuEq (almost all Au,) and I can't find North Parkes' numbers because its owners are inscrutable.
