https://mobile.twitter.com/fastjet/status/1005410948151107584 I wonder what is on the cards for next week???
Note my comments about Solenta above are pure speculation on my part, I have no connection with them, or have seen any such stories.
buxton1, a very curious RNS as they didn't have to say anything as long as the results were published before month end. As you say there must be some major issues being worked through and / or some big changes coming (Solenta taking it private??). Perhaps Nuri123 will get his wish....
Not without news that production can start (ie build and commissioning completed) / has started....
Rufiji, given what has happened with Kigoma there is no hope for Dodoma, or elsewhere in Tanzania IMHO, existing destinations, and perhaps ZNZ as this was previously okay, and nothing else. I also don't see the ATR being approved either. https://atcnews.org/2018/05/31/tanzanian-aviation-authorities-tell-fastjet-that-kigoma-is-a-no-go-zone-for-them/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
Once commissioning is complete, and the last $2m from the IP sale is paid, TSTR should have enough cash to take them through until this time next year. At that time the debate can restart as the Odey loan (ca $4m by then) will be due.
Is it definitely happening this time as it's been bookable (albeit briefly) before??? Good news if it is.
Krispy, personally I would like the consolidation price to be at least £1.00, though if it could achieve the equivalent pre OO price (£1.20) that would have a nice symmetry. I guess we only have a couple of weeks to wait to find out. Question is (and something that should help the SP) is will they announce build completion, and / or commissioning finished, before, at or after the AGM??
Hi Fred, still here just been busy! Thought the Matt Walker news very very intriguing, and somewhat left field, to say the least. Clearly shows UK Govt support (which has got to help with credibility. the thing about it for me is twofold: 1. the length of the arrangement at 12+ months you wonder what is lined up for his 'in tray' 2. given that his previous role was all about Govt Assistance (the Direct Investment bit) you wonder how that all fits in? does this mean he will be able to access UK Govt funds to 'invest' in Research etc, this could be really attractive to (potential) collaboration partners, just think of the proposed Graphene Park in Jinan for example Always nice to see the SP in the blue, especially since I spent some loose change the other day. The FY Results should be out soon (I remember Neill saying he'd try and gee PwC up to get them released earlier this year, so perhaps in June) in which we should get a good number of questions (indirectly) answered, and so provide a good base for the SP thereafter. That said a small overall loss, accompanied by otherwise good metrics and direction of travel wouldn't surprise me when they do come out.
buxton1, I agree that they have done all of those things - which is why I was positive in terms of their strategy - I'm just not too sure that they were done as well as they could've been, especially in relation to fleet changes. As for expansion (new routes) Mozambique apart, they actually seem worse than Ed & Co at this IMHO.
Lets hope they have a good plan and can execute it well (something that is not yet evident IMHO - as yet they haven't come across really any better than Ed & Richard in terms of execution - strategy is much better though)
Surprised by the MBI reductions as that now rules out going for the day - thought this was always a fairly steady route in Eds day? Maybe the ERJ145s don't allow for 'Buckets of Fish' and so PAX numbers have tailed off??
I preferred the idea of 1.2p pre consolidation (I remember the days pre OAR when the shares hit that level) though 0.12p will do by this Friday ;-)
Given your recent stay I'm glad I made you smile even if only wryly / ironically!
No, just busy. What can I say?? - about blooming time we had some large positive movement - long way to go yet, before we get consolidated and that restricts the SP Give me some more time and I'll see what else I can add.....😉
So that's what the 3 ATR are for!!
Hillwi, thanks for the confirmation. Good to see (some) progress, however small! The deployment of the ATRs will be the next big news....
....saw an interesting tweet that suggested that the schedule (frequency rather than routes) may have increased in Mozambique, can anyone confirm??? Good news if true.
BMB, there are pros and cons.... - usually there is a little retrace immediately after such a thing (not sure what'll happen here) - should make the SP more stable and less prone to extreme movements (though they still can happen) - makes the likelihood of multiple 100% 'multi-bagging' less likely IMHO - may become more attractive to II's (part of the Odey exit strategy?)
Yadge, read this mornings AGM RNS a 1000:1 Consolidation is clearly stated as a resolution being brought before the AGM. Thing to note here is it is a simple resolution and so only requires a majority vote, given that Odey hold 65% of the shares this is a 'done deal' so will happen very quickly after the AGM (probably within a week IMHO). Ever since the OO when the share register became flooded a consolidation such as this has been on the cards, originally I expected it to happen at the same time as sorting the repayment of the outstanding Odey loan, but as this has been put off for another 12 months, this is no longer the case, though still not surprised it's happening now or at the ratio.
