RE: Time to sell off our huge Iron Asset?4 Dec 2020 20:20
.... just to illustrate the point, ask yourself what BE will actually do.
1. Make Electrolyte - not complex or especially difficult - large factory space, load of vats and some control equipment
2. Provide a conduit to lease the elctrolyte
Where is the business risk ? It is only really that no one buys it. But we know that will not be the case as (for example), we have first right of refusal in supplying vanadium (/electrolyte inevitably) to all Invinity sales. This will not be a unique partnership.
Want Vanadium .. come to Bushveld
Want Electrolyte .. come to Bushveld Energy
We don't need to develop any real high tech. All we have to do is partner the winners, and given the larck of places they can go for primary supply, I say again ... where is the real business risk ?
Now contrast that by adding VFRB system manufacture and Solar Panels. All require large amounts of development capital and remain vulnerable to new entrants.
I am not sure some peoplke have quite got how masterful FM & MN has been in putting all this together: an exponentially growing business feeding products to an ever increasing set of worldwide customers who have very few real options to go elsewhere
Now if only the wider market got how de-risked this all is
