Block16 - the 'locals' do get a bit ... 7% in royalties to be precise - some/all distributed to local projects.... the fact that the corrupt in charge seem to have used funds as their personal piggy bank is a matter for the ANC.

There is a limit to how much can be just given away... mining takes investment and lets not forget that there has been a more than 40% dilution of shares in the past 18 months.
