just a reminder as the regional strikes stired up 2-3weeks ago.... its municipal elections next week (wed 26th I think) ... do I expect the strike over before then .. not sure. Others who claim an inside track say its about a cash payment (ignoring lost wages it seems) but nationally the anc is weak and has to be seen to stir up the old hatreds a bit... its the perennial african problem of sticking a hand out and just expecting something for nothing ...... not a fan of sacking as they rarely do much but kick the issue down the road... a happy well treated workforce is a motivated workforce ... but after wed .... I might change my view
