What other SA companies are you thinking .. any that actually mine and process vanadium, or just international box-pushers buying in. The reason I (and others) have such confidence that a nice slice of the pie will come our way is we have by far the highest in-country content, the greatest scope for job creation, and by far the biggest potential for upskilling. Ramaphosa has been thick as thieves with FM and MN on a number of occasions. So long as the base criteria are met (and perhaps then some), I maintain, it would be politically stupid in the extreme not to plump a big slice to a pretty much all SA offering.

Interesting point about historic corruption. As for FM being bullish why wouldn't he after spending almost 2 years structuring and partnering to meet the requirements.... It is not credible at least some will go to our partnership

But a more interesting question is whether the funders (Word Bank) have a stake in the decision making to ensure their ethical policy is followed

There is no evidence at all that a joint listing will do anything to the SP. The overwhelming majority of those buying in in SA will be II/large PI's with connections who are primed. No issue with this, the African 2-step in play and personally don't care one way or another.

It is a bit delusional to think that suddenly 'action' on a small SA exchange is going to radically change anything. My view has been for some considerable time there are only two things that will materially change our SP (out of this trading range): Moving to the FTSE main board (and away from the MM manipulators) and significant BE sales.

Setcentric... It is a wholy owned subsidiary.... Not unusual for a group corporate generic email. Many mult-corps do that

@SetCentric - that is an interesting update. Quite conservative figures and returns really.

Personally the only thing I am wary of is plant cost (somewhere between $300-400M). China has refinement capacity so if the main goal becomes supply to China, then seems to make more sense to invest a smaller capital sum and ship concentrate as unless China was willing to bankroll a plant (and at what terms), then a significant liability taking several years to make a return. Whilst SA is more or less Junk Status, raising finance would always be expensive.

Withe the China net importation requirement set to grow rapidly, I wonder if next year a raw ore offtake agreement from Mokopane would be a first step to its development.... Would make sense to build a crusher/ concentrator.... the capacity for vanadium production rather suggests Mokopane would be a nice low risk/low capital earner

Great series of posts Pdub.... The RNs list is very telling in two respects. First, no nonsense, just factual, and 2nd it does seem to give weight to a deliberate lower key PR stance. As growth becomes substantial and we move (hopefully) to the main board, I do think this needs to change.

That said... Even if say 25% came our way, remember the vanadium/electrolyte will be 35-45%...0and that is our bit really... The vanadium we would sell anyway so just the electrolyte value add.
