but I am always suspicious of these low value trades at above the ask. Decent money paid for shares at 12.3p though and it is possible we are going to have a floor of 12p which would be pleasing.
Fell to the placing price but bounced back. Good to see and perhaps with the placing settled we can move to 900p. Got my full application at 825p. Sweet!
now which means the strong run up has taken its toll on the SP. Some investors have taken money off the table it seems. You would think the BOD would exercise their options though I suppose they have nothing to lose by waiting. Most likely next news is in a month as I can see things winding down for Christmas now and would be pleasantly surprised if the new commodity emerges before late January.
Thanks all for the responses. I buy shares in excitement and expectation. I sell in delay and disappointment. So I am a buyer of DKL now. CATS and Rugs thanks especially for your deeper insight than mine and Pickling Vinegar for the bull case. Promises can grow on trees. Delivery cannot. I hold to my main point that the company does paint a rosy picture and even though there is a benign macro picture or perhaps particularly so there must be unequivocal delivery and capitalisation on current prospects. Too often we have had over-promising and under delivery. I say that into a rising SP and not a fallling one like my name.
Good evening Pickling. I disagree fundamentally with your opening paragraph but agree with your other points. Rugs and Cat might see it different from me but the impression I was left with from the AGMs is that their own plantations and the fertiliser programme will have a negligible impact on profit. I know however Cat shares my frustration about the production numbers and how far we are from full production, if we ever get there at all. Given their past record of starting projects Ghana, the attempted takeover of Norpalm and the second mill in Guitry but never bringing to fruition i would not hang my hat on Power or the third commodity unless you will accept something quite small scale. Cashew nuts yes but they have to have learned the lessons of the CPO business. But perhaps I will be proved wrong.
Makes sense J/k which means in effect we are seeing flattering comparatives. However I accept that can to some extent be the nature of commodities though I think in a perfect storm I would opt for a bigger umbrella and some new waterproofs earliest :) Any glass half-full theories j/k on why no mention of extraction rates today as opposed to last month which did?
Yes adbon. Excellent conditions for a good run as you point out. Strangely it is on the backfoot today. I would have been hoppng mad I bought in yesterday only to see it brought back down to size today. I did say before the market seems to think an SP of mid 50s is more fitting but this jumps about so much you would get worn out.
Narrow spread for DKL after only 22 trades. I don't think that will persist for long. Seems like the MM's are not sure where this is going next.
An important question for me is " Are these jumps in production sustainable?" or just come from benign conditions or poor comparatives with a low baseline? If sustainable you would wonder why whatever has changed has not been implemented sooner. If the latter then I still think the BOD need to be more actively managing the production. Or applying levers. After all the higher CPO prices, restricted supply and increased demand are the perfect storm for CPO producers to thrive in.
JaAA where are you getting info that it closed? No RNS so far that I know of. I just tried subscribing again on PrImary Bid and I can apply. Looks like it is not closed, certainly to retail investors!
RE: Looks like the ask moved very quickly10 Dec 2020 12:56
Yes indeed Pickling a bit quicker than I thought as I thought it might have been another few weeks to make it. 4p might be resistance as it has almost doubled in a few weeks. It did go to 4.1p on the ask this morning but that quickly went back to 4p again. Interesting pivot point now with enough hope and momentum to attract buyers but enough of a rise to attract sellers. Up 15% and someone got in quickly at 3.7p at 8am. Hope for another break of 4p but that will rqeuire substantial buying interest this afternoon.
DKL up 15% today so my move was timely. Small tick down here so I am interested to see have we peaked? Can move very swiftly in either direction as we know.
as the buy today looks good. Market reaction is positive as per the jump in the SP and I am sure the placing will be oversubscribed. I hope I get my full allocation at a discount as surely the price will have been framed around the morning opening SP and not the current price.
though the notional spread is wide. Now 30p on the ask. i will average up next week again as it is not up with events yet. Looks undervalued and then some.
was disgusting in the light of today's update. AIM is a cesspit at times. I am not one for conspiracy theories but unless yesterday's trading pattern was pure serendipity then it should be looked at. I wonder how these MM's knew demand was on the way?
