Loz cannot agree. If the BOD have acted proficiently a well structured timetable should have been agreed with Statoil with slippage allowance. IMO slippage of almost 6months and probably longer is just not acceptable.
Funds will be eaten into for day to day running costs. Funds which are to be used to acquire producing assets!!!

In view of todays news is it conceivable the major operator will require an enhanced contribution because of adverse operating conditions and possible prolonged use of the Drill??

Statoil may well explore in the Artic, but the North Sea can be a very inhospitable place during winter. Not only can it unsafe for surface platforms but submervsibles have limitations, to say nothing of service supply vessels and personnel. There must be serious doubt the drill will get delayed beyond Q4 2019.

The seismic survey was notified in April and would be under the control of the Major Partner. The survey was ahead of the "summer" appraisal drill. Afterwards the sets of data would be compared, presumably too establish the size of Verbier Field and better quantify reserves. As understood verified data would be announced Q1 2019.
Examine the delay in Drilling and the consequencial knock on effect will this have on data analysis and verification.
Assume fair weather continues into December, is it not probable release of accurate data will not occur until Q2/3 2019?
It is remarkable why Equinor, knowing the seismic survey "could" impact on the appraisal Drill and yet arranged a drilling programme which appears to be a moveable feast. They (Equinor) have pushed Verbier further down the road and therefore there are gainers.......other explorations which are taking priority!!

It is true Institutional Investors here can wait whereas PI's have, are being patient, but longevity becomes an issue.

As a junior partner, JOG are at the mercy of Equinor. This news is bound to make some Investors nervous.
One does wonder why schedules are changed and how long ago the programme was under debate? Remembering as the programme stood the drill would be in Verbier around now. The seismic study was completed a month or more ago. Even though it was stated those results would not be released until 1Q 2019, is something known at this early stage, good or bad?
Even though West Pheonix is capable of operating in harsh conditions, is it conceivable by December North Sea conditions could be extremely difficult.

I am a LTH and do not take kindly to, whoever it is, not keeping to programme without good reason.

GB if you are invested, it is strange too read your negative remarks when the Company announced in April the seismic results will not be published until early 2019.
It is entirely sensible to fully analyse the results, checking thoroughly and no doubt using the drill results to corroborate findings, before making a statement which could/will have a significant impact on the SP and direction of travel for the Company.

As a retired Cidermaker who has contacts within the beer and cider industry, the whole CO2 thing is being magnified. I never used CO2 and many Craft Beer makers do not. As previously stated CO2 is used for sparkling drinks and as stated by appleby retail outlets can and do use vacuum systems some even use compressed air, not CO2. Apart from the sparkling effect, CO2 not only makes beverages gassy but can and does taint the drink, something purists will avoid. Why Bookers are restricting the quantity of bottled beer is strange as bottling lines can be gravity filled or pumped. So where CO2 comes in is a puzzle. Just a thought and considering this exceptional weather, sales are rocketing and Tesco now own Booker. Cynical view, is Tesco cashing in?

As stated Traditional Real Ale does not use CO2, the "industrialised" methods may in production. Heineken, through it's subsidiaries, do use large quantities to carbonate Ciders and other sparkling Drinks. In the last 24 hours have spoken to several producer/suppliers and they are either not concerned and or have good supplies. IMO it is probably as suggested a way too boost sales.

Amazing how these story's surface. Possibly gas suppliers want to boost sales? Have spoken to a couple of Drinks Business contacts and they are not aware of any shortage, even so will keep my supplier secret just in case!!

ADDENDUM Just spoke to supplier, appears this is fake news.

CO2 is used for carbonation of drinks,i.e Coke,Lemonade and sparking products. Bars will tend to use inert gas for casks as CO2 can make beers and ciders too gassy.

Dinoken, agree Shepherd and Neame's beers are top notch, am particularly partial too Bishops Finger. Apart from both Company's (MARS & SN) quality of products, from a Business stand-point a collaboration where say products are distributed and retailed through respective facilities, could return cost saving benefits and possibly enhanced margins,too both Companys. imo worthy of exploration. Am familiar with Faversham and would not advocate amalgamation. Shepherd & Neame are one of the few remaining Family controlled Brewers who have a long History and High Reputation. It would indeed, as you suggest be sacrilege to relocate the Kent Brewery.

Advanced plan, yes, but in my experience rare too announce an off-site visit in such a way unless too alert other Party's!! Analyst's would usually attend a HQ presentation unless of course this is a "jolly", or a Flag-ship venue. Ebbsfleet is some distance from the company's core area.

Trent that is a fair point and possibly, as occurred to me, MARS are infiltrating Shepherd & Neame's territory, and maybe, maybe a collaboration is on the cards?? Shepherd & Neame, imo, do produce some very good beers. MARS have one or two excellent, and modern venue's in Kent, I have visited The Canterbury Bell, which is excellent. Have not visited Ebbsfleet, as yet. Could be interesting days ahead??
