BP have stated using older technology survey analyse could take up to a year, but newer techniques have speedied the process considerably. BP state 3D surveys are completed now within 6 weeks.
Could it be Equinor are totally steering the ship and partners are observers? That may be a rather unkind way to put it but Equinor are not answerable to it's Partner's Shareholders.

Ajax I was told many years ago by a very astute Land Valuer, the best Investment which over time has increases is Property. Buying property and letting can give a decent income and Capital appreciation in the long term. Much depends on an individuals Tax position.
