Blimey, I picked the figure of $2000Mcf out of the air in an earlier post, turns the annual income to about $50m from what we already have. Come on BS, get this bus out of 'ere.

Troajan. What ever the reason, I don't believe that it has any direct impact on Hex.

Now--if we can only get on with development at Rudyard and add another 4-6 wells this year we might just end the year on that £1 party.

@Troajan. ref yesterday's post. You mentioned about storage of Helium and timescales, He itself doesn't degrade and so there is no 6m period, but the storage vessels will have degradation over time. All I can think of ref the 6months is that there may be a requirement to fully inspect the vessel and seals etc every 6months in certain jurisdictions ( bit of an educated guess on that) In Uk we have PSSR regulations where there must be a suitable scheme of inspection on vessels and pipework that contains above a certain volume of gas. The scheme of inspection must be devised by a 'competent' person. The vessel will have a manufacturers 'expiry date' so to speak and after that date would require recertification.

Liquified gas is not usually under any pressure other than atmospheric but the cost to liquify it is high in energy use. Natural gas (LNG) liquifies at minus 162 C but helium doesnt liquify until minus 269/270C +/- depending upn whether it is H3 or H4. This is a significant difference and to try and keep either LNG or He or N2 etc it at those temperatures require massive insulation and/or continuous cooling. Hence--boil-off occurs and some of the product is just lost. (unless it can be re-directed for use as gas from the source of the boil off) . When liquifying the raw gas, the different temperatures are extremey useful for gas separation. i.e. the gases that liquify at the highest temperature drop out of the mixture first and can then be separated/stored/sold/vented whatever. This continues throughout the range of gases until we get to the He plus any trace elements of other gases. If He remains as a gas after everything else has dropped out it can then go either straight to storage/sale under pressure or go for further purification - as per the PSC at HEX.

Gas stored under pressure doesn't boil off in the same way and only costs the energy needed to compress it so is cheaper to store but as you rightly said the volume of compressed gas is much greater than that of liquified gas. LNG is 600-1 when liquified ( dunno what He is tbh) so depending upon the volumes, liquefaction can become more economical . The volume reduction for gaseous gas is entirely dependant upon the pressure and limited by the vessel). 170 times equates to 2600psi (tube trailer)

I have contacted BS about the potential to liquify the N2 from the predominantly N2 based raw gas--this could be via a mobile/modular unit and would assist with the gas separation process and avoid sending almost all of the well production to atmosphere. As the N2 is essential free , it doesn't need that air separation unit that was mentioned in the article ( link on Hex bb) as per ras laffan etc because we already have bundles of the stuff. Liquid n2 is valuable in food processing and any other situation where an inert atmosphere is required -$$$, transport can be by truck and refrigerated trailer. I'm not really expected BS to respond to a scumbag PI but if I do, I'll post the reply.

@broomtree. Finally had a look at the volumes/fill rates and got the calculator out of the bottom drawer. Also came up with 2.8 days, using 3 wells, 1500Mcf/day at 1.2% He. Discovered that the compression factor doesn't matter as they quote capacity for the gas at atmospheric. So, about 2.5 trailers per week (10per month) as we are with 3 wells, and with 4 wells if/when they get Inez perforated it reduces to 2.2 days or 3 and a bit trailers per week or about 13 per month. Now all we need is for He prices to reach about $2000 Mcf and we're laughing ! $2000 Mcf x 156mcf per tailer x 13 trailers is oooh $4m per month, $48m per annum. One can but dream. More realistically say $800Mcf x 156Mcf per trailer x 13 trailers $1.62m per month $19.5m per year---time will tell whether the estimated $500Mcf can be bettered. Nearly there though.

Well, I find the debates interesting apart from the degeneration into name calling or personal insults. Sometimes the debate sparks off some other snippet of useful information that I for one had not previously considered. Today, that was the comment about AISC being not just a straight comparison between different mines or organisations as I for one had not really thought about it and now realise that credits for other minerals present influence the figure. It is quite obvious when one thinks about it but not until then, so thanks to all for the debates.

@BBN. Sorry mate, just noticed your earlier message. Agree re bigger picture etc. Was just checking that the other aspect had been included in the estimated 2-3 days to fill just in case it turns out to be 2weeks which then starts folk of talking about delays or problems with the plant that are not delays or problems at all, only inaccurate expectations!. if you get the drift. Anyhow, if Norfolk has included the compression then all good. 2-3 days is quite impressive. ATB

@norfolk. OK, thanks. I haven't run any calcs myself but as I'm in the LNG world I know that the liquid natural gas is 600 x less volume than when it is gaseous therefore I gave a thought to the compressed gas taking less volume and asked the question copilot which came up with 170times smaller at 2600psi.

Tank filling calcs---have you taken into consideration the compression of the gas/reduction in volume as a result? Did you take the flow as 1500Mcf/Day? or something else. Compression reduces the volume by somewhere around 170 times ( depends on the actual pressure being exerted).

Lets see what this week brings, sold out of just about everything Thursday last week just before HL went offline, bit of luck there, now have just Hex as the main holding, a few qhe and sml both small amounts in my son's account and some FCM-unfortunately so it's all down to Hex. No time to keep a watch on stocks at the moment, too busy at work. Anyone know whether that trailer arrived and hooked up?

Laura. I noticed you mentioned you had bought over on another bb. Have to say well done. WSBN has been quite good to me on a couple of trades and I got out by the skin of my teeth on monday at 66p right on the dot of 08.00 having bought Friday anticipating a half decent rns. For once the HFX gods were looing down favourably. Haven't had the motivation to get back in but looks like your timing was spot on. Tea leaves?

If the tubes need to be built, tested and assembled onto a trailer then it will be weeks away, a more detailed explanation of anticipate lead times would have been helpful in the announcement but due to the lack of details it says to me that it is unknown, and not imminent. Have sold down £23k at 33.5 few days ago, a post from Punter red flagging inez and the lack of information or apparent progress prompted it. Preserving cash as explained before.

@Johnny--wasn't meant to be 'advice' as such, just to get you thinking about the reasons why you might want to part with your money-- don't forget that everyone makes mistakes, in fact most people lose money by not listening to themselves,!.. Self included from time to time. More advice coming:- Dont forget, if it sounds too good to be true, the chances are it is--(but not always, but be very careful lol) - and if a stock has dropped what seems like a lot, it doesn't necessarily make it cheap. You have to try and work it out for yourself, or just go with the flow, jump onto something that is on the rise and take profits along the way.
