An utter disgrace that there's no update on Dubhe when the one of 15 January was all about the recommencement of testing.

They said that it would be in the Spring. Its not Spring so they are not opening it up yet. Dunno whats difficult to understand about it tbh. Another maybe 6- 8 weeks before opening it up and then another 4-8 to let it flow and maybe clean up further. Whether they continue with it beyond that point will be decided upon once its opened up and they have expelled another 20% or so of injected fluids. Have posted before that realistically you might be looking at May-ish to decide the fate of Dubhe. Any new wells will be towards the end of the year, maybe before its frozen again or perhaps March April 27 if they run late on getting the next well set up this year.

There will of course be a mine with access roads, waste management, water supplies, power supplies, explosives, maybe drilling, fuel storage etc and there will be a cost to it - but not all upfront - this is the key. They will need a couple of JCB's, one for digging and the other for loading 2 or 3 dumpers to transport from the digging area to the loading area and a tipper truck to take it away - just to get it all going and revenue coming in :). So, reading between the lines, with the variable speed drive doing what it is supposed to and the plant already being in its final stages of commissioning, the announcement next week could be a confirmation of all wells flowing individually and collectively through the plant and maybe a shiny tube tanker loading up, photographed for promotional purposes and future war stories "this was our first export from the Rudyard field in 2026".
