Painless. Correct. The one with the 3 expandable rings looks like what they call a bridge plug, it's retrievable and can close of different segments of the tubing during testing. One of the others looks more like a casing penetration gun. None of the photos are production tubing.

For the importance of this well, I should think QHE would have hired one in just to prove He presence .

Reality is that they have been testing the well for about 1-2 weeks - not 4 weeks as some appear to have dreamt. Well testing timing is somewhat dependent on how the well reacts and how long pressure build ups take-which is a function of permeability. They don't know until they test it, that's the point, but they will probably test flow, backpressure and build up at several different choke sizes and then do a final close in pressure test and then analyse all they have found. As I posted yesterday, the timing is also dependant upon getting the perforations right and injecting acid, letting that soak maybe a day or two then start a clean up after the soak period and then start the testing hence why I said probably 2 weeks away- which ties in with the tweet. Panickinannikins and running for the hills because folk are unable to read and interpret what the company tells us is their problem . maybe I'll read that x post myself 😊

A portable Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry would give them the answers they want. Accurate enough to make an announcement and then say samples to be verified as an r's covering. Virtually instant results from sample but it will make no difference to the flow. First thing is to get the penetrations where they want them and then inject the Acid wash and get the well flowing - monitor pressure and flow over a period of time and wait until they are getting a constant reliable rate, announce the results. Then post the rockets into the header. Then do the same with the upper zone, announce the results, post some more rockets. Combine the 2 zones and double the rockets. Wait 2-3 years then Retire.

Punter, no time to read all the posts, but if someone is already talking delays then realistically they have only been 'testing' for approx 2weeks. rns on 16th said perforation the following week, i.e. from 20th onwards. Could be middle or end of that week and then start clean up and flow the well. The final results--if they EWT both zones separately and keep the overall combined figure for the well to the end of both tests it could be a month + away. If they (as we anticipate) announce the results of the lower play independently, I think we are still a couple of weeks away - possibly. Anyone shouting delay at this point needs to as you say 'keep their beak out' :)

@Saloon65 I know mate--I did kind of apologise at the end- you could go for a cuppa in between :) -- there's a lot to consider here and we could be in for a long run of good news once we pass the first hurdle. Hopefully exciting times.
