I would prefer them to come clean about the reasons for the changes of direction even over the past 12m where they haven't 'done' anything in the field but rns's have informed the market about plans and updates that have not materialised...
Zen 1 will be 12m late. This year (Jan) it was announced that they would drill it during the first 6months. Well, the rig will be on 37 for the next 2-3 months and then C30 but only if c37 has any oil, and also after they have spent a month on the drill pad, therefore no chance to think about Zen 1 until end of year or next. It's just too slow and the outcome entirely speculative. Anyhow, thats it from me matey. I will keep an eye on what folk are saying and keep negativity off the bb, it doesn't help the price. ATB.

2 plus years ago I was hoping they would do a horizontal into the known producing zones. A few months back a geologist identified Maykop as a horizontal possibility. There has been no further comment about it.

It is very easy to blame someone else such as Soviet well data but with competent drill team, engineer and logging, these erroneous data sets can be re written. We shall see Maestro but if it we me setting up I would want to run it, test it after transportation etc. then there is the mud, the oil gas separator, some sort of storage, maybe a flare arrangement, cuttings dump, (big bags probably). Bop test, pipework to various bits n pieces. Cuppa tea 'n' all. They might need some additional kill mud in case it all goes mental (hopefully not). They will then be taking it very easily to begin with.

We may discover that they just horse through the first 20m and don't bother testing it that point even though they have stated they will. they might just keep going to see how far the Eocene still shows oil on the cuttings and then drill to the full depth, test the upper zone later after setting a plug below the Eocene production interval and then test the lower bit if it is worth testing. I say it as the initial plan was to see what the next 20m brings and if it looks good they were going to forget drilling on further. This now appears to have changed as they really want to go deeper whatever happens after the first 20metres or so hence the big rig.

All I am also saying really is that Zen seldom actually do what they plan or do what they say they will do so don't be surprised :) The only surprise I want it to see success here at long last. Which according to DS1 will arrive on my Birthday. So well done DS I hope you are right about that.

General consensus is before the end of the month to start well deepening.

In any case, 6 days shut in, retrieve measuring tools, scratch heads, come up with an expected prod figure and completely change the forward plan. News is now about due and heading towards overdue. So far the company has delivered on its promises, mostly a bit late. But usually over delivered.

S7. You are correct in your posts. Production from 16a is unknown despite numerous posters confirming that is is 1100 and then projecting earnings based on 70 dollars a barrel. They have forgotten the less $10 and the fact that bloe have a 70% interest only. They also don't understand that commercial production can be and is,often around 30% of the initial flow. However, in some cases it can go much higher when the gas and hydrocarbons become mere mobile,over time. Neil the whole process is,on continuous production and being metered into a distribution system, we don't know.
The recent rise over the past weeks has been a result of the big buyer and pi money. Pi money is or has left the corral hence the drop until the next catalyst. Some get it, some don't lol. Should have sold yesterda, work gets in the way though. Back to,sleep.

Yesterdays swing was quite dramatic wasn't it, hopefully today will be less so. I watched 3k disappear from my investment after the high. We don't yet have 1100 bbls, bpd barrels or whatever anyone wants to call them flowing into production. The actual production figures are likely to be less, although it is possible that once connectivity grows and fluid becomes more 'fluid' then production may increase if the well can hold together long enough. They will want to retain integrity and keep the well in one piece and the 'experts' will guide the company on the optimum flows. At the moment this information is not in public hands. Lets have a guess at 5-600barrels of oil per day X 71% don't forget BLOE don't own it all yet.
But, another similar well under the current funded program and the work at Norio are still to come and then another two similar side swipes at WR and a fiddle with the gas taps to look forward to. Price has a long way to go--upwards. Maybe not today though innit.
