Hi Afric,
I'm genuinely sorry that you feel this way.
From a quick look at your posting history, I see that - on this board at least - it's been exclusively about ZIOC ….and that you make passing reference to having been involved with the site in some way even pre-IPO.
So I understand that my comment to Ironic
…"Being on AIM for the last 9 years was pointless ! . Even worse than pointless !! .[ Hindsight investing always makes things seem obvious! I'm pretty certain the promoter shareholders didn't expect this long a haul. Stuff happens] .....
may have struck a raw nerve.
Many of us - me , certainly, to my cost ! - have fallen in love with a share or a woman...and then been reluctant to revise our expectations in the face of other opinions or dispassionate reappraisal.
I think the timing of your 'shooting the messenger' is also inappropriate : I'm more encouraged now about the prospects for an early, positive conclusion to this saga (I'm only in for the last 3 or 4 years, at a guess) than I have been for some time.
And you're wrong about the extent of my investment : I've never claimed that ZIOC was significant as a %age of my investable funds. At the time I wrote it was the smallest of 3 in the mining sector, the others being a silver/gold producer and a lead / zinc scavenger, and the only one that was greenfield; all 3 together represented around 10% of my portfolio. I've since doubled my holding...and bought some for my grand-daughter, both reported at the time.
My exposure is limited to the 'fun' end of my portfolio, because I see ZIOC as 'high risk / high reward'...and I spend disproportionate time here because, frankly, it's more complex and interesting than most of the rest of my stuff.
I also think you'll find, if you think about it, that I've been more open and frank about MY investment in ZIOC than most of the people who profess take umbrage at my comments.
It's a funny old world.
