Any thoughts on what the Sami response will be?
I can't imagine that they will be enthused about the mine prospects shooting up a gear ;they regard this area as their birthright and one of their earlier comments related to the severing of routes they use to manage their herds from one season to the next. I imagine a lot of horse trading will need to take place over the coming years; there will still be loads of official permits/permissions/consultations to get through. Eco/green warriors will be smarting and will possibly be primed for direct action as they did some 7-8 years ago if my memory serves me correctly-only this time they won't have the "legitimacy" of any greens in coalition.
More patience required I'm afraid.
Try and keep calm over day to day movements.
I think we are all probably a bit cautious about the response here. However when traditional cultures are "threatened" (and no doubt well- known voices from within Sweden will make a lot of noise) one element of the planning system that can be used to mitigate negative environmental and cultural impacts is to ut a condition on approval so that BEM pays a direct financial contribution from the company based on output over the life of the mine. The finances raised are audited and presented to the leaders of the cultural group/s impacted to spend as they wish on protecting and/or promoting their traditional way of life. The cynics would call this horse-trading or tokenism but it is just one way of linking the " fortune" of the invader with that of the host community!
Just a thought.

Just suggesting you have another look at my message timed at 15.48 particularly the 3rd paragraph.
Thought I made it clear that I was a LT holder.
I don't do personal swipes or respond to them -thought my post was fairly anodyne and wasn't aimed at anyone in particular.
The well established trolls (your words) on this BB are probably now wetting themselves with glee at a potential internal squabbles between genuine LT holders who want the co to prosper.
Now time for my pills!
Thanks TW
You obviously picked up on my (rather humble, non-helmeted) cricketing past (front teeth spread over lots of grounds through not knowing when to call it a day) plus the "hidden" element purporting to be my ability to be able to "cover" my position as far as the financial world was concerned-again ability sadly lacking!
Too ancient to be sharing personal stuff on BBs or anywhere else for that matter-but I still try to get around to the occasional county game, watching the grandsons of players who I aspired to yonks ago!
BW from an old codger who still thinks he has a few brain cells left!
As someone who taught in the uni sector for years (and retired long before woke-ism) I always feel more confident with people who are prepared to quote their sources (ideally in the public domain) and from either from a bullish or bearish perspective (I prefer these terms to those which have gained some form of popular credence over the years)
Whilst I enjoy a good joke as much as anyone else, the "quality" of some of the material on this BB has allowed it to be dragged down into an almost terminal form of incestuous pond life with ****ging off of individuals in both camps with lots of "innuendo" jokes/one liners and "I know a bit more than you do " etc.
I'm hoping I'm speaking for LT holders who continue to have faith in ARCM despite its communication aberrations.
Can we please get back to being adults again -even though I remain of the rather ancient variety!

Any follow up on the legal papers supposedly delivered last Friday?
Ignore fat fingers on earlier post!

Any follow
If you stand back and try and take a neutral's view of the situation -it's actually quite an easy decision in theory. The proposed mine is outside the boundaries of a protected area, albeit within an area where "traditional" reindeer herding takes place. I use the word traditional in inverted commas as some herding takes place using state of the art technology such as drones and mini helicopters etc. The ore is very high grade etc etc so has "green" credentials.
The mine will have a shelf life and as a former long retired town planner (now disgusted with the myopic and seemingly anti humanitarian views of the idiotic fringe green movement) it is clear that based on the philosophy of using nature's gifts wisely that tough environmental conditions will need to be attached to any activities at Kallak and and that BEM should also be required (based on my UK experience) to deposit a hefty bond to pay for future land restoration costs once they have pushed off. Longer term nature will re-establish itself to get back to its climax vegetation state.
I would hope that the current newish leadership is also thinking of the human elements here in terms of their own Swedish version of levelling- up given the well publicised socio-economic decline of their northern/peripheral regions.
Happy to get blasted but just my genuine thoughts from someone who has had a long career attempting to make difficult decisions balancing development activities within the context of a (much more balanced) environmental ethos.
Tenuous to say the least with 75 short of a majority. Looking forward to a lot of wheeling and dealing that will hopefully stop this country from becoming an established basket case!
Thanks - so we are agreed that we have to assume that K are selling rather than it being a fact??
How does one get access to the share register to be able to prove that it is Kopore that is selling their 35 m shares (just 3% of the issued share capital of ARCM)
Europe shutting down slowly.
Covid and all sorts of restrictions in Europe bound to increase short term selling as mobility freedoms impacted?
Can't recall what % of sales emanate from Europe but this might have bit further to drop.
Have been in and out as it were!!
Hi f29
Appreciate your detective work.
I've been trying unsuccessfully to find my way around/navigate the court pages you mentioned today.
Do you have a link-so that the more there are of us that are fully loaded with the facts then this helps to mitigate the troll elements lurking around the place.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

OK-we aren't really all that far apart.
I've been a LTH since around 2009 if (failing) memory serves me correctly- distinctly remember buying a few back then on a massive spike around 9 p in old money prior to subsequent, massive dilutions etc.
I tend not to contribute much and definitely avoid the petty point scoring which occurs on many of these BBs.
Without getting too academic about it this is a really interesting case both from an environmental and geo-political stance.
There appears to be still some latent sympathy in Slovenia with Russia and using their gas plus the strong environmental movements in Slovenia would like nothing better than for AST just to get the hell out of their country.
Agree re lawyers getting their pound of flesh in first, but it may yet benefit AST if they were able to agree a sliding scale-so that anything over a certain amount in compensation would tend to benefit AST rather than Enyo-but then again what do we know.
Interestingly (or not) Petrofac (PFC) -and am not a s/holder btw- had to pay our SFO 's lawyers costs of £7m . I guess Enyo's top drawer city lawyers would have charged a bit more than this? Again -a cost figure just to set some context?
Here's to another RNS in 6 months time ??
Cheers
Selective editing of what I said earlier.
I am fully aware that the 25% cap applicable to bog standard UK cases is not strictly relevant-all I was trying to do was to open up the debate to see if anyone had any data from past cases that had been resolved and had sufficient detail to work out what the lawyers' take was. We are all in the dark and quite rightly so as AST has no need to reveal to us or anyone else what they have signed up to in terms of fee arrangements or whatever else they have been in dialogue with Enyo over the past several months-which also adds to the frustration of LTH's and also those with long held suspicions about the company.
Good evening
Have just taken my GP prescribed pulls to help me think straight and apologies for consecutive posts!
1.If we accept that there are powerful govt and pressure group elements in Slovenia that would happily see the demise of AST then what better way of engineering such an outcome would be for AST to reveal via an RNS its own commercially sensitive agreement with its own litigation lawyers. Saying nothing at this stage is the best strategy and I cannot for the life of me imagine why you would want to tell the whole world what was in your deck of cards (to use an analogy).
2.If you reveal how much/% you would be likely be getting (given a successful outcome) immediately puts the ball in your opponents court-don't forget they will also be trying to both defeat the claim and also be working the final penalty downwards at the same time. Don't give them the chance to do their own risk/reward calculations at your
(the claimants )expense. They will have a pretty good ball park figure of the likely expenses that Enyo will have incurred and if they want AST to get nothing or diddly squat then they could offer an appropriate amount accordingly almost at the beginning of the process.
3. One outcome could even be a hefty award with the condition that AST gets out of Slovenia.
!!
May not be the case here involving businesses and governments but generally I thought that no win no fee was capped at 25% in UK- i.e for your general personal injury/compensation claims etc.
Have a look at Netflix's take on the unsolved murder of their PM Olof Palme in Feb 1986- "The Unlikely Murderer".
Seems from this (fictional account) that the police also struggled to make any key decisions at the time-ring any bells??
There was a £21 k buy at 08.27 today apparently!
