Lesh8 is a pump and dump merchant. I've already explained to him that the 85p was a typo...the real price target was 0.85p with a sell rating put out by TipRanks. However the news on Monday is IMO very positive for the company.

1)The raise is expected to be at or around the "current" share price, presumably the price at the time of the announcement, around 0.8p, a far cry from the 0.2p previously proposed.

2)The directors will be involved to the tune of £100k.

3)The two major shareholders have indicated significant support.

4)The financing (up to £6 million)aims will fund growth initiatives, including commercialisation, FDA submission for CYP2C19 around June 2026, and manufacturing scale-up.

5)DN plans to convert the £500,000 loan into equity at the raise's issue price.

6)Most importantly, the funding will hopefully see the company through to its breakeven target in 2027.

I would suggest you use A1 with caution. It easily picks up on the mistakes of others, as in this case.. Ask A1 for its accuracy and it comes up with this:

Old news but a reminder that not everyone in the NHS is blind to the benefits of GDR's products. But the NHS is like a slumbering giant and moves slowly! We need it to wake up!

The sp has a pattern. Sellers push the price down, a few buyers then jump in thinking they have a bargain. Then the sp continues its downward path in the following days as more sellers move in. I have previously said that the need for additional funds will act as a drag on the sp and it will take substantial news to set the sp northwards again.

Amers, I very much hope that the sp will not be at 0.2p . However, whilst I have expectations that there will be substantial additional revenue from sales, the Company themselves now admit that break even, previously expected by June 2026, is now not expected until 2027. Nor do I believe, as I have stated before, that national commissioning for CYP2C19 will take place. Gino himself also recently admitted: " Rapid testing procurement is likely to be required to be met at trust and ICB level, where our focus has been predominantly placed commercially in recent months". So those two factors will act as a drag on the sp for while IMO. Hopefully other news will act a something of a boost but in the meantime the elephant in the room will continue to be the need for additional funds.

What you overlook, Amers, is that there will be a need for additional funding sooner rather than later. Maybe DN will have deeper pockets but if not and we go the route of further dilution then that will be a drag on the sp. It was not so long ago that the company tried to dilute us to the tune of billions at 0.2p!!

According to AI, the average salary for an executive board member of a small AIM company not yet making profits typically ranges from approximately £70,000 to over £150,000 annually. According to the latest company figures, Russell Shaw (CFO, Secretary & Director) was paid £214,910 and

Gino Miele Ph.D. (CEO, Chief Scientific Officer & Executive Director) was paid £203,970. Way too much. Whilst the sp has been steadily going down over the years the directors have been well looked after. Snouts in the trough comes to mind. I shall be voting against Russ Shaw's reappointment.

It is great that the DN loan has gone ahead and that we have avoided the ridiculous dilution at 0.2p and I add my thanks to him if he is reading. But the nagging question I have, which nobody seems to have addressed, is why has nobody else hitherto stepped up to the plate and been willing to offer a similar package? Yes, I know that the company has said talks with "other shareholders" are ongoing but that is jam tomorrow. Why has Ian Gilham, the chairman, with all his connections not been able to persuade someone or some company to invest on favourable terms? Happy to have some explanations.

The market was clearly underwhelmed yesterday with the sp down 10%. Yet no price sensitive news was to be expected. The company would have had to put out an RNS first. So, as usual, it was a case of misplaced expectations. I actually topped up yesterday.

The key to the short term will be the loan from DN. Gino alluded to that when he said we would hear more about that "imminently". Let's hope that conclusion to those loan talks, and we hope it will be positive, will happen more rapidly than the previous time that Gino referred to a timeline, in the ProActive One2One Forum, when he stated the conclusion of the pilot for CYP2C19 "should be around about now." That was on June 27. In fact the publication of the implementation guide only came out on November 27, exactly 5 months later!

Market disappointed.

How are the loan talks going? (It would be nice if we got agreement news today!)

If the loan proceeds, the funds are likely to last until April. What happens then?

Please give us timelines for the different stages of the FDA applications and the additional costs that the applications will involve.

Stephen, I guess this is the sort of takeover you, and all of us, would be hoping for. Natera, a leading clinical genetic testing company in the US has just taken over another diagnostic company, Foresight Diagnostics. The amount paid? A cool $275 million. 🙂

I'm sure he is trying to demonstrate the potential that companies under his watch have. But I doubt that it is anything more substantive than that.

But, Stephen, if there were companies interested you'd think they'd be accumulating a shareholding and there's no evidence of that.

The directors have taken a 20% pay cut...I suspect at the insistence of DN and pressure from other shareholders...and the sp at its low also down 20%. The pain is being felt by both sides!

Great that heads of terms have been agreed (RNS 19/11). Now we're just waiting for the actual signing. The delay would be down to the normal financial, legal, and operational due diligence on the part of DN to confirm all the details and uncover potential issues.

Hopefully that due diligence will be completed sooner rather than later and the ship can resume a steady course! ⛵

There were those who had been declaring for months that national commissioning would happen any day and those same people now maintain that national commissioning will happen in April. But that is simply speculation. To quote Gino: " rapid testing procurement is likely to be required to be met at trust and ICB level, where our focus has been predominantly placed commercially in recent months."

That is the reality.
